Eightfold AI reposted this
"If you replace the junior with a prompt, you liquidate future leadership." Robert Rose wrote that for the Content Marketing Institute, citing CMI's 2026 Career and Salary Outlook: one in three companies are now cutting entry-level marketing hiring while asking senior people to do more with AI. Harvard economists found the same pattern well beyond marketing, entry-level hiring down roughly 80% per quarter at companies that adopted generative AI, a decline that started almost immediately after ChatGPT's release, before AI had actually automated much of anything. Here's what I keep coming back to: the risk was never interns using AI. It's interns never getting to build it. At Eightfold, our PMM intern, Jasreen Toor, is building our Product and Messaging agent. Our content engineering intern, Averil Stephen, is building our Blog Crafting agent. They're not using a shortcut someone else built. They're the ones building it. Swipe through, then tell me: how are you giving your junior hires the chance to build with AI, not just use it? Building for AI requires more than adding AI features, it requires rethinking the interfaces themselves. In our latest Engineering Blog, Dhruv Arora explores what it means to design for the next operator and why Eightfold built an agent-native CLI that enables AI agents and humans to work from the same command surface. As AI evolves, the future of software isn't just about smarter models, it's about building systems that are discoverable, resilient, and governed by design. Our CEO and Co-founder, Ashutosh Garg, recently sat down with Authority Magazine to discuss what inspired him to build Eightfold AI and the principles that continue to shape how we think about AI, talent, and opportunity. A few insights that stood out: → Fairness requires intention. Responsible AI doesn't happen by default. → Start with the human problem—not the technology. → Skills create opportunity. Skills-based hiring helps uncover talent that traditional approaches often overlook. → As AI advances, human judgment matters even more. It's a thoughtful conversation on building responsible AI, rethinking hiring, and creating more opportunity through skills. Read the full interview in the comments. 👇

The candidate experience has a Human Scale Ceiling. Application volume has exploded, résumés are harder to read at face value, and the strongest candidates are gone in about 10 days. Meet Candidate Agent, a Talent Agent that gives every candidate a real, adaptive conversation from first hello through interview handoff, on the channel they already use.
