The question shaping the next era of software engineering isn't whether to adopt AI, but how mature your organization is in applying it. Most enterprise engineering organizations have made meaningful progress on AI adoption. Copilots are in use, generative tools are deployed and parts of the development lifecycle are automated. However, Srinivas Reddy, SVP and Head of EPAM India, argues that adoption alone is not the right measure. The more meaningful question is maturity: how deeply AI is integrated into engineering processes, governance models, talent strategies and delivery outcomes. 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 AI adoption is measured by access and usage while #AIMaturity is measured by how deeply AI is integrated into engineering processes, governance models, talent strategies and delivery outcomes. For most organizations, AI still lives in isolated pilots rather than embedded in daily engineering workflows. 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭: 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 In the most mature engineering organizations, AI usage has stopped being a conscious decision. Engineers instinctively ask how AI can help before beginning a task, exploring alternatives, accelerating execution and reducing risk. The next phase of #SoftwareEngineering is the ability to orchestrate networks of intelligent agents across the full product development lifecycle. Those agents can: • Evaluate architectural alternatives and generate optimized code. • Build comprehensive test coverage and analyze telemetry. • Investigate incidents, produce documentation and accelerate solution design. As these capabilities mature, the role of the engineer shifts from task execution to intelligent orchestration, and the highest-performing engineers will be those who know how to combine human judgment with machine intelligence to achieve outcomes neither could reach independently. 𝐄𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 Talent readiness is often one of the most overlooked dimensions. Scaling #AIMaturity requires a structured approach to embedding AI fluency into the engineering culture by developing: • AI-ready professionals: building foundational AI fluency, understanding how AI can augment work • AI practitioners: applying AI consistently across delivery environments, generating measurable outcomes • AI champions: mentoring peers, setting best practices, driving AI-led transformation 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 This progression to AI maturity runs from AI-assisted workflows to agentic workflows to highly autonomous delivery environments. With this engineering model, human creativity, judgment and business understanding are necessary and amplified by continuously learning systems operating at scale and speed. AI transformation is often treated as a technology initiative. In reality, it's a business transformation. In this episode of Digital Storm Weekly, EPAM CEO and President Balazs Fejes joins Dr. Joerg Storm to discuss why successful AI adoption requires more than new tools, licenses, and proofs-of-concept. It requires leadership, organizational change, continuous learning and a willingness to rethink how work gets done. Among the key takeaways: • AI initiatives stall when business leaders aren't actively involved • Talent and education remain the biggest barriers to adoption • Change management is just as important as technology • AI should be viewed as a workforce transformation, not simply an IT project For executives navigating enterprise AI, this conversation offers practical insights on moving beyond experimentation and creating measurable business impact. Enterprises are moving quickly from #AI pilots toward production, but scaling remains difficult because AI has to work across fragmented data, legacy systems, compliance requirements and core business processes. In this ET Edge Insights article, EPAM’s Srinivas Reddy explains that AI readiness starts with modern data and technology foundations, supported by repeatable delivery methods rather than isolated experimentation. As AI systems start taking on more complex work, organizations will need stronger governance, clearer ways of working and teams that can connect AI capability to real business needs: https://ow.ly/aOR250Zt8in ___ Explore how EPAM can accelerate your AI transformation initiatives and turn your technology ambitions into scalable business impact: https://ow.ly/L04e50Zt8jo

Build your own software or buy it from a vendor — which would you choose? For years, the answer was clear: Buying won. But agentic AI rebalanced this argument. Now, building is no longer automatically the slower and more expensive path. But while agentic AI has reduced the time and cost of building software, can you trust its work? Read our blog https://ow.ly/XCs350ZnHt8 to find out when building with agentic AI makes sense — and when it doesn’t. #ArtificialIntelligence #AgenticAI #Strategy CC: Subhadip Roy

The $30 trillion wealth transfer is not the opportunity many wealth firms are planning for. Rather, it’s a fragmentation event looming just ahead. Firms are doubling down on human-first advisory models, but next-gen clients have moved on. A staggering 81% of inheritors plan to switch firms within two years. They demand AI-first daily engagement with human expertise available on demand, not imposed by default. Wealth firms delaying transformation means losing assets that will never return.
