About us

Federal Mfg creates high-performance level and weight filling systems for free-flowing liquids as one of ProMach's Filling Solutions brands. Federal's history goes back to 1946 when Mr. David Fee recognized the need for a better machine for smaller, farm dairies to fill and cap glass bottles. Within two years, both 6- and 9-valve level fillers were engineered and introduced at the 1948 Dairy Show in Atlantic City. Federal's simple, hygienic, dependable filler designs made Mr. Fee’s filling systems a success from the time they were introduced. The Federal team is committed to developing innovative, high-quality, high-performance filling equipment with dependable customer service and technical support.

  • We’re always looking for ways to bring more value to our customers, and that starts with investing in our people. Recently, our Federal team participated in a week-long value analysis and value engineering training, focused on improving how we design, evaluate, and optimize our equipment. The team worked through a Federal level filling application, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, efficiency, and long-term value. What made this especially impactful was the collaboration across ProMach teams. We were joined by colleagues from Modern Packaging Machinery and Pace Packaging LLC, bringing different perspectives and expertise into the process. This kind of hands-on, cross-team training helps us challenge assumptions, refine our approach, and ultimately deliver better solutions to our customers. It was great to collaborate with the Modern Packaging and Pace teams throughout the week.

  • This holiday season, our team was proud to take part in an Adopt a Family event, supporting two local families and helping make their season a little brighter. Thanks to the generosity of our team and partners, we were able to provide over $2,000 in toys, gift cards, and experiences for the families. Kids received everything on their wish lists, including tickets donated by the Milwaukee Bucks for a game in February. Special thanks to those who helped make this possible, including WIMS (Wisconsin Industrial Machine Service), AMI (Automated Manufacturing Inc.), NH Machining, Weimer Bearing & Transmission, Inc., Cope Plastics, Inc., TR Services, and the Milwaukee Bucks Inc.. Giving back as a team and sharing in the holiday spirit is something we’re truly grateful for. Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season. 🎄✨

  • With Thanksgiving right around the corner, our team celebrated a little early with a fun Thanksgiving Cook-Off that brought out everyone’s creativity. JJ “The Grill Master” 🔥, Matt “The Iron Chef” 👨🍳, and Toni “The Dessert Master” 🍰 each prepared their own holiday meal, and our Federal Team joined in to taste and help select their favorite! After all the votes were counted, we were excited to congratulate Toni Klink 🏆 as this year’s Cook-Off winner. Events like this are a great reminder of the creativity, team spirit, and culture that make our team special. We’re grateful for everyone who participated and helped bring a little early Thanksgiving spirit to the office 🦃🍂!
