  • Today marks a defining moment for our sport! The International Olympic Committee – IOC has confirmed the inclusion of freeride skiing and snowboarding in the programme of the Alpes 2030 Olympic Winter Games™. 🏅 Freeride will make its Olympic debut in 2030 — a first for a sport built on natural terrain and judged on the line a rider chooses. This milestone belongs to an entire community. From the first Xtreme Verbier in 1996 to the inaugural FIS Freeride World Championships in 2026, competitive freeride has grown into a worldwide discipline: 🎿 10,000+ licensed riders 🌍 300+ competitions each season 🗺️ Four continents Our thoughts today go to the riders who first believed in this discipline, the organizers who built it event by event, and the partners who trusted us throughout the journey. And to the young athletes who can now dream of an Olympic medal. ✨ 🤝 Thank you to the IOC and the FIS - The International Ski and Snowboard Federation for their confidence in freeride. The work towards 2030 starts now. 🚀 👉 Qualification pathway updates: https://lnkd.in/eqBg6qzC #Freeride #FWT #Alpes2030 #OlympicWinterGames #FIS

  • As we look ahead to a new season and continue to grow the sport globally, it’s worth taking stock of where freeride stands, and where it's headed. The Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance positions itself as the 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲. It's a claim that comes with real operational weight: The Sports Pyramid; athlete development, event safety, grassroots growth, and the long-term sustainability of mountain venues. Freeride as a discipline has always sat at the intersection of performance and culture. Riders are judged not just on 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹, 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲, 𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗶𝗿 & 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 in some of the most exposed terrain in the world and against the best riders in the world. The FWT's framework reflects that complexity. Five core values: 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗻, shape decisions across the organization, from how events are run to how young athletes are brought into the sport. The conversation in action sports increasingly isn't just about who reaches the top. It's about how organizations ensure they get there 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘆. For the FWT, that's not a philosophical question. It's an operational one. #FWT #Homeoffreeride Photos: Mia Maria Knoll, Bernat Andreu Lomas, LE STUDIO PROD

  • In freeride, what you see on competition day is only 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the story. A rider drops into a face, commits to a line, and within seconds, it’s over. But that moment is only the result of 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁; the evaluation of the terrain, the analysis of the snowpack, the mitigation of avalanche risk, and the decisions taken, sometimes hours, sometimes minutes, before a green light is given. At the FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance, these processes are not static. They 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, shaped by changing conditions, accumulated experience, and ongoing learning in complex mountain environments. Mammut Sports Group AG Venue Check was created with a simple idea in mind: 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱. Through the series, and with the expertise of Laurent Besse, we aim to make visible what is often overlooked. Not by reducing its complexity, but by 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 more broadly. Because safety in freeride is not a single action or a fixed protocol. It is a 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. It requires tools, but also judgment. Data, but also experience. And while these insights are rooted in the context of competition, they extend far beyond it. In the mountains, as in many other environments, understanding risk is not about eliminating uncertainty, but about 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁. Mammut Venue Checks is one way we contribute to that learning. This video is just one example from the series we made this season. #HomeOfFreeride #FWT

  • 𝟵𝟬+ 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. That's what it took to run the 2026 FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance Pro season. At our core, we're a team of 𝟮𝟱, covering everything from athlete logistics to partnerships, live broadcasting and everything in between. This season, 𝟭𝟭 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 joined that core, getting their first real taste of action sports as a career and becoming an integral part of making it all happen. But the full picture is much bigger. 𝟯𝟬+ 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 on the ground at every stop. Safety teams, judges, mountain guides, production crews, resort partners and more. 𝗘𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗹𝗲. The athletes’ runs last 90 seconds. The work behind them lasts 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. A huge thank you to everyone who gave everything to make this season what it was. 🙌 📸 Lévy Loye #HomeofFreeride #FWT #ActionSports #EventManagement

  • Driving sustainable behaviour in sports events isn’t just about awareness, it’s about 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. With our 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, we tested a simple idea:  ➡️ 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 fans who choose the train. Fans who travelled by train to Le Châble could benefit from 𝟰𝟬% 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀, valid on the weekend of the competition. The outcome: 👉 𝟮𝟯𝟰 participants (+𝟴𝟴.𝟳% vs last year) 👉 𝟱𝟰% would have taken their car or carpooled would the offer not have existed 👉 𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗸𝗺 of car travel avoided 👉 𝟲.𝟱 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 of CO₂ emissions saved This shows the power of combining 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀. This initiative is supported by the Swiss Olympic Climate Fund and made possible by the collaboration between Verbier Tourisme, Téléverbier SA and FIS Freeride World Tour. A huge thank you! Looking forward to scaling this further. #FWT #HomeOfFreeride

  • In Verbier, the experience goes far beyond the competition face. While 𝟲,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 gathered to watch the Pro competition on the Bec des Rosses, another key part of the YETI 𝗫𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗿 was unfolding in the heart of the resort: the 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲. Over the course of the week, it became a true meeting point for fans, partners, athletes, media and the wider mountain community, showing that Verbier is not only a competition venue, but a full-scale freeride destination. This year’s Event Village brought together: 𝟯𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝟰𝟱 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝟭,𝟭𝟬𝟬+ 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 From partner activations and exhibitor stands to athlete presence, fan experiences and community moments, the village plays a major role in what makes Verbier such a unique stop on the FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance. Because in Verbier, people do not just come to watch freeride. They come to experience the culture, the atmosphere and the community around it. • 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. This one certainly didn’t. It challenged plans, tested resilience and demanded constant adaptation across the Tour. But this weekend, at YETI 𝗫𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 of the 2026 Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance, it delivered the kind of ending that reminds everyone why freeride is unlike anything else. 🏔️ In front of thousands of fans, on the most iconic face in freeride, we witnessed 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗘𝗧𝗜 𝗫𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆. A finale like that does not happen by chance. It happens because riders commit fully. Because hosts, destinations and partners stay engaged. Because teams keep finding solutions, no matter how complex the season becomes. And because a global community continues to show up for freeride, again and again. 𝗧𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀: thank you for the level, the courage and the trust. 𝗧𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀: thank you for your commitment throughout the season. 𝗧𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: thank you for your support, your energy and your belief in the long-term value of this sport. 𝗧𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳, 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀: thank you for everything that happens beyond the spotlight. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱: thank you for your passion and loyalty all season long. ••• 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 🔥 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀. • Over the next days, Verbier becomes the meeting point of freeride culture, performance, and innovation for the last stop of the 2026 FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance: * 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 on site, amplified by spectators on the mountain * 𝟯𝟵𝟯 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 bringing the village to life * Live broadcast reaching a 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 * Experiences at 𝟰𝟬 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘀 ranging from 𝘀𝗸𝗶 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀, 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 & 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲! • Turning sustainability into a concrete 𝗳𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 🚆 For YETI Xtreme Verbier, we are activating our 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 through a simple idea: fans who travel by train to Le Châble can benefit from 𝟰𝟬% 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀. Valid on March 28, 29 and the official competition day, this initiative reflects the type of action we want to develop more: practical, visible and directly connected to the live event experience. Because sustainability in sport should not only live in commitments and messaging. It also needs to translate into 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺𝘀 that can influence behaviour on the ground 🌍 A strong example of how an event can combine 𝗳𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 in a meaningful way. This activation is supported by the 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱, in collaboration with 𝗺𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲. #FWT #YETIXtremeVerbier #CleanLandings #SustainableSport #SportsIndustry #EventMarketing #Verbier #HomeOfFreeride
