⚖️ NIS2 is often discussed as a legal topic. In practice, it becomes a technical architecture topic very quickly. Because once you translate the requirements into real operations, you end up needing: - stronger access control - better identity governance - auditability - endpoint visibility - incident detection and response - supplier risk discipline - documented and repeatable processes This is why I keep saying: NIS2 is not just about paperwork. It is about whether your environment is governable under stress. For remote access and distributed teams, that usually means moving away from broad implicit trust and toward: ✅ identity-based access ✅ MFA ✅ segmented reachability ✅ device posture enforcement ✅ centralized logs If your current setup still relies on static trust and manual exceptions, NIS2 will expose that. The companies that do best here are the ones that use regulation as a forcing function to modernize architecture, not just update policies. #NIS2 #CyberSecurity #ZeroTrust #Compliance #ZTNA #GoodAccess

📘 A lot of companies ask me: “Does #ZeroTrust help with ISO 27001?” Yes. But not because a standard says “buy ZTNA”. It helps because #ZeroTrust naturally supports many controls auditors care about: 👉 access control by role 👉 MFA 👉 visibility and logging 👉 device security enforcement 👉 segmentation 👉 controlled remote access 👉 repeatable onboarding / offboarding 👉 reduced dependence on manual exceptions In other words: #ZeroTrust is not the certificate. It is the architecture that makes compliance easier to prove and easier to sustain. I like how Creative Dock described this journey in our joint video case-study: https://lnkd.in/dtQhttAn They wanted to centralize identity and access, get devices under control, and prepare the ground for ISO 27001 compliance. That is exactly the right framing. My advice: Don’t treat compliance as a documentation project only. Treat it as an architecture project first. That is when audits stop being painful and start becoming predictable. #ISO27001 #Compliance #ZeroTrust #ZTNA #CyberSecurity #GoodAccess

👥 Employees are usually easier to secure than contractors. Why? Because employees often have: ✅ managed identities ✅ standard onboarding ✅ standard devices ✅ known org structure Contractors often have none of that. Instead, they bring: ⚠️ external identities ⚠️ personal devices ⚠️ temporary projects ⚠️ overlapping roles ⚠️ unclear offboarding And yet they may touch critical systems. This is exactly where weak access design shows up. My practical playbook for contractor access: 1. Separate them from employee access models 2. Use strong identity verification and #MFA 3. Limit access to exact systems, not network zones 4. Time-box entitlements 5. Enforce device requirements where possible 6. Log everything centrally 7. Make offboarding immediate and automated One lesson from the field: Contractor access is rarely dangerous because of bad intentions. It is dangerous because of loose process and unclear ownership. Zero Trust helps because it turns access into a governed workflow, not an exception handled by email. #GoodAccess #ThirdPartyRisk #ZeroTrust #AccessControl #CyberSecurity #MFA

📱 #BYOD is not the problem. Uncontrolled #BYOD is. Most companies allow personal devices because people work faster and more flexibly. But unmanaged devices create serious blind spots: ❌ no screen lock or biometrics ❌ disabled disk encryption ❌ outdated operating system ❌ missing or outdated antivirus ❌ disabled firewall ❌ risky public Wi-Fi connections The solution is simple: no compliant device = no access. ✅ verify device posture before access ✅ enforce MFA ✅ restrict access by identity and role ✅ block non-compliant devices automatically ✅ log activity centrally And once organizations grow to dozens or hundreds of employees - each using 2–3 devices - manual control simply stops scaling. The good news? #BYOD and strong security can absolutely coexist - with the right #ZeroTrust architecture behind it. #BYOD #ZeroTrust #ZTNA #CyberSecurity #GoodAccess

🌍 Zero Trust Network Access (#ZTNA) gets interesting the moment infrastructure stops being simple. And for most mid-sized firms, it already is. Typical reality: - some apps in cloud - some systems still on-prem - branch or factory networks - multiple identity providers - contractors with own devices (BYOD) - users connecting from anywhere This is exactly where “just use VPN” starts breaking down. Why? Because VPN was not designed to give clean, identity-based, segmented access across this kind of mix. The goal of Zero Trust (#ZTNA) is to put one consistent security logic over everything: - verify identity - verify device - authorize by role - segment access - monitor centrally I often describe it as putting one security umbrella over a messy real-world environment. That is also why hybrid environments should not wait with modernization. Their attack surface is already hybrid too. #HybridCloud #ZeroTrust #ZTNA #SASE #CyberSecurity #GoodAccess

✅ “Least privilege” sounds simple. Until you try to implement it in a real company. Because reality looks like this: - people wear multiple hats - contractors need temporary access - teams grow fast - legacy apps don’t support modern auth - admins are afraid to break production So what usually happens? Access accumulates. Nothing gets removed. And “temporary” becomes permanent. The practical version of least privilege is not perfection. It is discipline. A good starting model: - assign access by role, not by person - separate admin from standard access - time-box contractor access - review dormant accounts - log who accessed which system and when - make revocation easy, not exceptional One of the reasons I like Zero Trust thinking is that it forces this conversation. Not “how do we connect everyone?” But “who should reach exactly what?” That change alone improves both security and audit readiness. Because most compliance failures do not come from missing tools. They come from over-entitled access nobody reviewed. #GoodAccess #ZeroTrust #CyberSecurity #AccessControl

🕴 The perimeter is no longer your office. It is identity. That sounds obvious. But many environments still behave as if the network location is the main trust signal. It isn’t. In modern infrastructure, people connect from: - home - airport Wi‑Fi - branch offices - customer sites - personal devices - managed laptops - multiple clouds So the question is no longer: “Is this traffic coming from inside?” The real questions are: ✅ Who is the user? ✅ Which role do they have? ✅ Which device are they using? ✅ Is the device compliant? ✅ Which exact system do they need right now? ✅ What should happen if context changes mid-session? This is why #IAM is not “just another integration.” It is the backbone of modern access control. My view: If identity is fragmented, manually managed, or disconnected from access enforcement, your security team will keep compensating with complexity elsewhere. And complexity is where risk hides. #IdentitySecurity #ZeroTrust #IAM #ZTNA #CyberSecurity #GoodAccess

My latest read: Anthropic just revealed what their new model Mythos can do 📑 https://lnkd.in/dpUUT2Y4 👉 It autonomously finds and chains zero-day vulnerabilities across major systems. This changes the game. We’re entering a world where attacks are: 📌 AI-driven 📌 automated 📌 massively scalable And here’s the uncomfortable truth: The future of security is no longer about preventing breaches. It’s about minimizing their impact. Because if AI can get in, the only thing that matters is: 👉 what it can do next That’s exactly where #ZeroTrust Architecture becomes critical - not as a feature, but as a design principle. #ZeroTrust #CyberSecurity #SecurityArchitecture #ZTNA #mythos
