  • More content doesn't mean more visibility. Across most AI models, volume works against you by diluting credibility and topical authority. What models reward is clarity, sourcing, and a clear point of view. The catch is that what "clarity" looks like depends entirely on which model your customer is using. We tracked 2.2 million real user prompts across six AI models. The signal priorities differ significantly from one surface to the next. Where your customers are searching should shape the strategy, not the other way around.

  • AI search has a consideration set problem. By the time a customer asks a comparison question, the brands in the running are already decided. 80-90% of LLM responses draw from earned media rather than owned content. Social content alone generates roughly 2.5x more AI citations than owned brand pages. Most teams have the investment ratio inverted. The signals that build category association take time to accumulate. Starting later means competing against brands that already have a head start.

  • Four AI engines now split 99% of B2B AI referrals. But they don't serve the same buyer at the same stage of the journey. Our Wave 2 AI Search Traffic Report tracked B2B referral sessions across the four major engines. What came back was a funnel map. Each surface attracts a different buyer at a different stage of the decision process. Optimizing across all four in the same way means your consideration-stage content is doing awareness work, and your decision-stage buyers aren't getting what they need to move forward. Surface coverage is table stakes. Building content matched to where your buyer is on each one is what separates presence from performance.

If you can't quantify the cost, how are you going to justify it to your CFO? People are asking ChatGPT and Claude instead of scrolling Google. On calls, I keep running into brands who've started checking whether they show up in those answers. But they’re not sure how it ties back to revenue (if at all). Which tracks, because AEO is still an untouched space. And I think it deserves way more exposure than it's getting. A majority of the marketing leaders I speak to are aware that search is fragmenting. They're just not sure what to do about it yet. Our CEO, Mostafa ElBermawy, is running a free 30-min session on this on July 29 — what actually drives visibility in AI search, how social is turning into a citation source, and how to measure it instead of guessing. If you're the person at your company who keeps asking "wait, do we even show up in ChatGPT", then this one's for you. https://lnkd.in/eF2TUa_g See you there.

Without a subject matter expert, a tool is just a tool. Over the last few months, between client meetings, prospect scoping, and scrolling job boards, my team and I noticed we were all silently converging on the same pattern: a surge in AEO strategy roles everywhere. From Stripe to Pfizer to Vanguard to Victoria’s Secret & Co., everyone seems to be looking to staff full-time, salaried positions built specifically around AI search visibility. Then I came across Kaleigh Moore's piece on AEO jobs in 2026 tracking the same thing: 50+ roles opening up across 50+ companies in just two weeks. No surprise, this tracks exactly with what I'm seeing on the revenue side. Conductor surveyed 250+ CMOs: 94% plan to increase their AEO investment in 2026, and 97% said AEO already had a positive impact in 2025. When companies go from stealing budget from their SEO team to posting full-time roles, it's hard to deny that the category has hit another inflection point. Yes, everyone started out focused on building the product. But then the market caught up and realized the platform they bought into alone couldn't make up for the missing piece of the puzzle: knowledge and experience. So now, they're hiring the person who knows how to run it. At Goodie AI, basically every conversation we're having sits somewhere in that transition, whether AEO is something a company is still testing or something they're building a function around. Human-in-the-loop has always been our MO, and we've been building a team of experts from the start. Speaking of which… we're hiring. 😉 Link to our open roles: https://lnkd.in/gbGutevx

  • LinkedIn referral traffic averages 4 seconds of engagement time. AI search averages 58 seconds. That gap is the most important number in our latest AI Traffic Report. AI is still a small channel by volume. But per session, it outperforms every source we measured, including Google Organic and Direct. The engagement rate is 68%, nearly 3x LinkedIn's. The brands investing in AEO now are building visibility in the channel with the highest-quality engagement data. Full report in comments.

  • Most content strategies are optimized for Google. But that optimization works against AI citations. LLMs reward the most specific, credible answer — content that adds something to the knowledge pool that couldn't be derived from everything else already indexed. That's why platforms like Reddit get cited more than most brand content. Reddit has opinions, lived experience, and conclusions no model can synthesize on its own. Goodie identifies the topics where your competitors are getting cited and you don't have coverage. Citation share compounds over time, and every piece you publish, structured for AI retrieval from the first draft, builds a presence competitors can't easily close. • We've published three versions of the AEO Periodic Table. V4 is the first to tell you where to spend your next hour. V4 of Goodie's AEO Periodic Table maps 14 visibility factors across 1.13 million prompts and 6 AI surfaces. For the first time, every factor carries an explicit weight, its share of total citation leverage, not just a per-engine score. The finding that should reorder your priorities: off-site earned and social citations account for 22% of the total weight. More than any single on-page factor. Most teams allocate far less than that to off-site, combined. Check out the full study in the comments.
