  • As a Surgical Oncologist at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Dr. Jill Rubinstein sees firsthand how a cancer diagnosis impacts every aspect of a patient's life. That perspective is one of the reasons she participates in Swim Across the Sound. Beyond funding cancer care services, the Swim helps ease the financial and logistical burdens many patients and families face during treatment, allowing them to focus on what matters most. For Dr. Rubinstein, the event reflects the power of a community coming together to support patients when they need it most. Read Jill's story and learn how you can make an impact at swimacrossthesound.org 🩵 Interested in volunteering? We're looking for boaters to help make this year's Swim possible! An epic moment for Hartford HealthCare. Shared with epic gratitude for the best people! Today, we celebrated the successful Epic go-live across our Greater Manchester Region — the fastest implementation of its kind in the nation — and the extraordinary progress we've made since welcoming more than 2,500 colleagues into Hartford HealthCare on January 1. These teams did what was once thought impossible — and in just six months. We added specialty services, increased surgical capacity, strengthened care coordination, and made meaningful investments that are improving access to world-class care close to home. More than that, we're earning the trust of more patients who choose to receive their care locally. This is what happens when you invest locally — with purpose. And we're just getting started. Hartford HealthCare has begun a $300 million, multi-year investment in the Greater Manchester Region to ensure these community institutions remain strong and vibrant for generations to come. Connecticut is #1 in the nation for patient safety, helping make our state one of the best places in the U.S. to raise a family, retire, and receive healthcare. We have a responsibility to build on that foundation every day by providing access to high-quality, affordable care. I’m so proud of our colleagues — together what they have done for the community is truly exceptional, and the best is yet to come.
