  • Investing in the future of oral health starts with investing in the next generation of clinicians.   “Our partnership with Medical University of South Carolina reflects our shared commitment to driving innovation, expanding access to digital technologies, and preparing students to thrive in today’s evolving dental landscape,” said David Kochman, Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.

What students learn in dental school should reflect the way dentistry is practiced today. A significant multi-year contribution from Henry Schein will expand digital dentistry education at the MUSC James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, giving students, residents and faculty more opportunities for hands-on learning through the Henry Schein Innovation Laboratory. From digital scanning and computer-aided design to milling and 3D printing, students are gaining experience with the same technologies they're increasingly using in today's dental practices. As South Carolina's only dental school, MUSC is helping prepare the next generation of dentists to provide high-quality care across South Carolina and beyond. • Compassion in action. Incredible work by Dr. Michael Hale and the entire volunteer team! We're proud to partner with USOSM in creating a lasting impact. 💙 Read more about Dr. Hale's mission trip. 👇

More than 1,000 teeth extracted. Hundreds of lives impacted. One incredible mission rooted in compassion and service. Recently, USOSM surgeon partner Dr. Michael Hale and his volunteer team traveled to Kenya’s Rift Valley, where they provided critical dental care to approximately 1,000 patients over seven days. Working from sunrise to sunset, the team treated patients of all ages — many of whom had little to no access to oral healthcare. From extractions and restorative care to oral health education and community outreach, this mission reflects the power of using clinical expertise to create lasting impact far beyond the walls of the practice. We’re proud to support our surgeon partners through the USOSM Medical Mission Reimbursement Program and are grateful for the compassion, leadership, and dedication shown by everyone involved. We’re also grateful for the support of Henry Schein Dental, a valued USOSM partner, whose contributions helped make this mission possible and further expanded access to essential oral healthcare services.
