If you work in financial services, ask yourself this: can everyone access accounts at your institution without facing barriers? In recent years, banks have added layer after layer of security. It's a good idea, but there's a catch: a lot of these layers lock people with disabilities out. In a recent article for Finance Derivative, our Director of Accessibility Advocacy, Corbb O'Connor, explains how multifactor authentication can complicate, or even block, access for customers with disabilities to essential digital spaces, like banking apps. Check out the full article for Corbb’s recommended fix: https://lnkd.in/ey-XGvvs One organization already doing this well: ID.me. Their Trusted Referee solution lets anyone verify their identity through a video chat with a trained specialist instead of an automated process, all while keeping the highest privacy standards.

People with disabilities were solving accessibility problems long before brands started paying attention. What happens when brands follow their lead as the ultimate innovators? In episode 2 of What Comes Next, our podcast with Making Space and Advertising Week, hosts Keely Cat-Wells and Dana Randall sit down with athlete and disability access strategist Vasu Sojitra and The North Face's Wade Balmer to unpack the story behind North Face's Universal Design camping collection. Dig into the importance of community-tested designs, how one collection sparked company-wide change, and why products designed with accessibility in mind should be marketed for everyone. Get the full episode on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/ecsyrBRi More episodes coming soon—stay tuned! Video description: A clip of Keely interviewing podcast guest Wade Balmer. Last call: our legal & regulatory roundtable with disability rights attorney Eve Hill is tomorrow. If digital accessibility case law and enforcement trends are on your radar for the rest of 2026, this is your chance to get a clearer picture. Register now: https://lnkd.in/dhYTC8M2
Your compliance obligations don’t take a summer break. One year after the European Accessibility Act (#EAA) deadline, organizations operating in the EU are still calibrating their risk. In the U.S., federal Title III filings under the Americans with Disabilities Act (#ADA) rebounded in 2025, after two years of decline. If you’re unsure what these updates mean for your organization, it might be time for a check-in. Join us on July 21 at 11 AM ET for a roundtable on the current legal and regulatory landscape, featuring leading disability rights attorney Eve Hill (Partner, Brown, Goldstein & Levy, LLP). We'll review digital accessibility case law and enforcement trends, and what your team should do next to ensure accessible experiences for everyone. Claim your spot: https://ow.ly/MWNG50ZfnlQ

We're excited to kick off the National Association of Counties Annual Conference in New Orleans! County leaders from across the country are gathering to share insights and explore new ways to improve services for their communities. As digital services become increasingly central to how users access government information and services, accessibility is becoming a bigger part of the discussion. Counties are looking for practical ways to reduce accessibility barriers, strengthen ADA Title II compliance efforts, and ensure ALL residents can easily access the information and services they need. If you're at #NACoAC26, our state and local government leads, Kyle M. and Laura Zook, would love to connect and hear what's top of mind for you.
