One of the best things about Shopify has always been the community around it. That community is exactly what we tap into for our clients every day. Building a commerce business isn't just about a great storefront. It's about the entire tech stack working together, and the relationships behind it that most merchants never get access to on their own. So we made those relationships work harder for the brands we serve. DigitalJAS clients now unlock exclusive perks with every technology partner in our ecosystem: Yotpo, Loop, Gorgias, Abra Promotions, Okendo, Attentive, Rebuy Engine, Rivo, Swym, Tolstoy: AI Commerce Platform, Reactiv, Simple Bundles by Freshly Commerce, Purple Dot - The Pre-Commerce Company, Signifyd, Rewind, Consentmo, Katana Cloud Inventory, Patchworks, Design Packs, Klaviyo and clearer.io. And more are being added very soon. And this isn't reserved for a select few. Every DigitalJAS customer gets access, whether you're on our Base, Scale, or Peak service package. We are strategy-first, which means we optimize your Shopify ecommerce and retail, yes, but also your whole commerce tech stack, and we put our community relationships to work on your behalf. That's the DigitalJAS difference. See the full partner ecosystem and what's unlocked: https://lnkd.in/gnjdhdVH

One of our PMs flagged a return as fraudulent, blocked the customer, then reversed it. Without opening the Loop admin once. He was just talking to Claude. That's the actual promise of MCP: your AI tools get real access to your live data, and can act on it. Your assistant stops guessing. It starts reading what's actually happening in your business. On the demo, Austin asked Claude why a return had been flagged. It surfaced the workflow, explained the fraud signal in plain terms. He said, "Mark it fraudulent, block them.” It did. A minute later, he changed his mind. Undone just as fast. Just a conversation with your own data, in whatever tool is already open. Shoutout to Austin and Jean for running the whole thing live this week, start to finish! Recording's up if you want to watch. Worth 20 minutes if returns are part of your job. 👇 https://lnkd.in/g9Qc2Rss

Most brands focus on how fast a refund clears. The real question is how fast the item gets back on the shelf. Return to inventory can sometimes take weeks. That's time lost as a saleable item. And for brands running seasonal cycles or limited drops, that gap is where real money disappears. Here is what a typical returns workflow actually looks like behind the scenes. The item ships back, gets received, gets matched to the original order, waits for inspection, gets a restock decision, then gets re-tagged and re-shelved. Each step looks small. Together, they add up fast. A return that sits in the queue for two to three weeks on a seasonal SKU does not just cost you storage space. It misses its selling window entirely and moves closer to a markdown or a write-off. There is another layer that most brands are not capturing: the data inside the return. Every item that comes back is carrying information. A sizing issue. A quality inconsistency. A color that reads differently in person than in photos. In most returns workflows, that information gets processed along with the item and never makes it out of the warehouse. When it is tracked and routed back to the right people, it becomes a feedback loop that reduces your return rate over time. At Boxzooka, returns are not an afterthought. They are built into the operation from the start, covering item identification, inspection, re-barcoding, restocking, and disposition decisions. We also integrate directly with Happy Returns, a UPS Company and Loop so your customers get a smooth return experience while your inventory becomes sellable again faster.

We're happy to be a part of Operator Experience, an invite-only community for senior brand-side operators. The next one is in London on 16 July. A curated room of people running ecommerce, ops, merch, commercial and tech inside brands, working through the practical side of AI rather than the hype. Excited to chat with brands about how we can better support their commerce operations with AI!

Next OX partner spotlight slot goes to Loop. Returns and exchanges is a crowded space. But Loop have stood out in it for years, and for pretty specific reasons. They were among the earliest to build towards the future, at a time when a lot of the industry was still making everything harder than it needed to be. Loop gave brands real flexibility over the rules sitting between sales, refunds, returns, exchanges and credits. An underrated level of control that matters to operators. They know what they're building toward and they're deliberate about it. In a category where a lot of businesses are trying to be across everything, Loop have been pretty clear-eyed about what they are and what they're not. That self-awareness is rarer than it sounds. Calum and Samir were also quick to back OX without needing a detailed pitch or a guaranteed return on it. They, and Loop, are investing in the community because they think it matters, and that says a lot about how they think about the industry and their place in it. We're also lucky to share brand relationships with them from the Commerce Thinking side. Oh Polly and Nobody's Child are shared accounts, and that overlap has given us a close view of how they operate and what they deliver in practice. Decent people who care about the right things. That's a lot of what this comes down to. We're grateful for their continued support in making this thing happen.

As we head into our busiest months at K9 Sport Sack Sport Sack, I've been thinking a lot about what it actually takes to scale operations without adding headcount. A couple years ago, we made a switch with our returns platform to another player in the space. The pitch was good. Custom integrations, favorable revenue share, the works. When in practice, the expectation vs. reality looked a lot different.  Our team ended up spending a meaningful amount of time each week chasing down sync issues and manually updating orders that should have been resolved on their own. When volume picked up, the cracks got bigger. We came back to Loop , and the difference showed up fast. The Shopify integration held up when order volume was high, exchanges tracked correctly in real time, and most importantly, our team stopped doing cleanup work. Better data visibility, less firefighting, more bandwidth to actually prepare for the season ahead instead of reacting to it. If you're evaluating your returns setup before your own busy stretch, you need to take a serious look at if what you were promised matches your reality. Because the alternative is finding out during your biggest sales period that they don’t. For us, Loop was the one that delivered.

GoodDay Software's native Loop integration is live 🎉 Returns can be one of the messiest, hardest to manage numbers on the P&L. Loop handles the customer side, the warehouse handles the inventory, and finance ends up reconciling between both at month end. With this integration, every return now flows from Loop directly into your inventory ledger and financial reporting out of the box, with no manual reconciliation. Join a CEO chat with Kyle Hency and Hannah Bravo as they do a live walkthrough of the integration, why we built it, and how brands can eliminate manual reconciliation between returns, warehouse operations, and financial reporting. Your CX team shouldn't have to leave Shopify to find return answers. Now they don't have to. Loop is live in Shopify Sidekick, one of the first apps available through Shopify's Sidekick App Extensions. Pull up the status of any return. Ask questions, dig into histories and get details instantly. Jump directly into Loop admin only when a case needs hands-on attention. All in natural language, and all without leaving the Shopify interface. Chris Long, Loop’s SVP of Technology, said it best: "When Loop's data is natively accessible inside Shopify, it's not just faster, it's a fundamentally different experience for the people doing the work every day." SHAPING NEW TOMORROW ships worldwide. Their returns process needed to match. The Danish apparel brand switched from a fragmented, manual setup to a single Loop platform handling EU and non-EU returns, automated workflows, and proactive fraud detection. With an integration alongside Bleckmann, they now generate return labels and manage warehouse communication without leaving Loop. The result: better control, less manual effort, and a foundation built for global scale. Read the full story 👇 https://lnkd.in/eTxR5FY6
