LyondellBasell reposted this
WE DID IT!! 🎊 Yesterday marked one full year since my work siblings and I began our full-time careers at LyondellBasell! What makes this moment even more special is that many of us in this photo, along with a few who couldn't join due to other commitments, were corporate interns together two summers ago. I'm grateful we had the chance to capture and celebrate this milestone together. It's a memory I'll always cherish! If I had to describe this past year in one word, it would be "WOW!" No amount of classes could have fully prepared me for the transition from college to the professional world. It has been a year of incredible highs, fierce challenges, and countless opportunities. One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been coming full circle from being an intern to now supporting interns and co-ops as they begin their own careers. It's been incredibly meaningful to contribute to their growth and share what I've learned. I am grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey, from the Learning and Talent team, where it all began as an intern, to the Early Career Talent Acquisition team that welcomed me into my full-time role, and to the many people leaders, colleagues, and role models who have supported me along the way. Thank you for the guidance and encouragement! Here’s to one year down and many more adventures to grow ahead! 😁 #LyondellBasell #TeamLYB #OneYear #RookiesNoMore

Addressing plastic waste requires practical solutions, credible standards and collaboration across the value chain. LYB supports the launch of SCS-004, a third-party certification standard from SCS Standards that defines responsible chemical recycling and builds confidence through transparent environmental, social and operational criteria. As demand for circular solutions grows, standards like SCS-004 can help advance accountability and transparency, support consistent expectations and enable more plastics to stay in circulation and out of the environment. We are making circularity a little sweeter, one chocolate wrapper at a time. Together with Mondelēz International and key value chain collaborators like Amcor and Taghleef Industries, LYB is helping Swedish chocolate brand Marabou to offer packaging sourced from 75% recycled content using LYB CirculenRevive polymers with 100% attributed recycled content via an ISCC PLUS-certified mass balance approach. Our solution helps convert hard-to-recycle post-consumer mixed plastic waste into high-quality materials for demanding applications like flexible food packaging. As we continue to expand our circular solutions, we plan to supply future polymers for Marabou packaging through MoReTec-1, our first commercial-scale catalytic chemical recycling plant under construction in Wesseling, Germany. This is what’s possible when partners across the value chain come together to turn circular ambition into commercial reality.
