Marble Health

Marble Health is growing quickly — and I'm personally focused on two key hires to help us accelerate further. Both roles sit at the center of our next chapter. Both are 0-to-1. Both report into our leadership team. 1. Founding Marketing Lead We have channels that work, but we haven't had a dedicated person to own, optimize, and scale them... until now. You'll build the demand gen foundation from scratch, run experiments, and figure out what compounds. If you've built something from nothing before and want to do it again for an important mission, this is the role for you. 2. Expansion GM Marble's core is working. Now the question is: what's next? Should we expand to different distribution channels? Can we go deeper and solve more problems for our school partners? This person's job is to figure that out — and then go build it. You'll work directly with me to identify the highest-leverage expansion bets, validate them fast, and own them end-to-end if they're real. Before I started Marble, I taught in New York City. I watched school counselors try to hold up kids who were struggling — with almost nothing to actually help them. That's why we built this. Thousands of schools refer kids to Marble, and we're growing 5x YoY. These two roles will accelerate our pace, and help us reach more kids and families.

In 2021, US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy issued an advisory warning of a growing youth mental health crisis and calling for a “whole-of-society” response. While the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to rising rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide among young people, recent data from the Centers for Disease Control have shown only modest improvement. Recognizing the need for a new model of care, Dan Ross (MBA 2019) and Jake Sussman cofounded Marble Health, which provides youths in grades three through 12 and their families with affordable and timely mental health therapy. Since launching in 2024, the company has partnered with about 1,500 schools and has served more than 5,000 students, many from underserved communities. The reason most students don't get mental health support is rarely because the adults in their lives aren't trying -- schools try, families try. Everyone is working really, really hard to make it happen. The challenge is everything else: insurance barriers, language barriers, waitlists, provider shortages, and complex systems that are difficult to navigate even when you're highly motivated. At Marble Health, we get to spend every day helping remove some of those barriers so more students and families can access the support they need. One of my favorite things about being on this team is that the level of care I see in the schools we partner with is matched by the people building Marble. From engineering and product to operations and growth, people here genuinely want what's best for students and families. The schools we partner with care. The families they serve care. We care, too. Jeffrey Bussgang posts an annual rocketship list for job seekers — the idea being that early in your career, the single best thing you can do is attach yourself to a company on its way up. Having helped build Headway, I've been lucky enough to ride a rocketship before and know some of the waypoints. Marble has that same feeling. We're excited to share that Marble is now live in Ohio and New Jersey. Too many kids and families still struggle to access timely, affordable mental health care—especially those relying on Medicaid.
