  • The 'clarity problem' framing is something I find myself using in almost every conversation. Visibility without context is just noise. Worth a read.

Most security teams think they have a visibility problem. What they actually have is a clarity problem. The tools exist. The data exists. What's missing is a clear picture of what's normal in your environment. So you can recognize when something isn't. This is especially true where IT, IoT and OT converge. Each layer speaks a different language. Each has a different risk tolerance. And the overlap between them is exactly where blind spots form. A few principles that cut through the noise: → Visibility is not a product. It's a discipline. You can buy a sensor and still not understand what you're looking at. → Passive monitoring matters in OT because active scanning can cause device crashes or unexpected behaviour. Watching is safer than probing. → The goal isn't fewer alerts. It's alerts your team will actually act on — ranked by operational impact, not just severity score. → Cloud-first doesn't mean secure. It means more control is possible — if you have the visibility to use it. Our CEO Max Borovkov shared his thinking on this in a recent interview with IoT Tech News — covering how IT, IoT and OT environments are converging, and what "turning visibility into action" actually looks like in practice. https://lnkd.in/e2jvnUW9

  • This is what passive OT visibility looks like when AI does the heavy lifting. Moving from first question to prioritized remediation plan in under two minutes. We showed it live at TechEx North America 2026. No scripting. No complex queries. No agents deployed. Nothing touched in production. One plain English question. A connected OT environment. Seven previously untracked devices surfaced in milliseconds. One of them already communicating with an external IP, less than 24 hours after first appearing on the network. What you see in this video is GREYCORTEX Mendel responding to natural language through MCP integration. 📍 If your environment has blind spots you haven't found yet — that's exactly the conversation we want to have. 🔗 greycortex.com | mbctg.com #OTSecurity #IoTSecurity #GreyCortex #MBCTG #PassiveVisibility #AIDemo #TechEx2026 #OperationalTechnology #CyberSecurity #NetworkVisibility

We’re hiring an Enterprise Cybersecurity Sales professional to support our U.S. expansion. This role focuses on selling network-based intrusion detection and visibility solutions into industrial and regulated environments, where you can’t install agents and downtime isn’t an option. If you have experience selling cybersecurity into manufacturing or operational networks and want to work on real-world problems, we’d like to talk. 👉 https://lnkd.in/g7PDyey8
