The 2026 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give delivered another unforgettable week at Blythefield Country Club, combining world-class competition with extraordinary community impact. Tens of thousands of fans, volunteers, sponsors and LPGA players came together for four days of championship golf, family-friendly entertainment and a shared commitment to helping neighbors in need. The tournament concluded with a thrilling finish as Miyu Yamashita captured the title following a dramatic final-round comeback and playoff victory. Beyond the competition, the tournament once again demonstrated the power of community by raising $1.5 million through the Meijer Simply Give hunger relief program. Supported by dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors and passionate fans, the event will help provide millions of meals to food pantry partners across the Midwest. The 2026 Meijer LPGA Classic not only delivered unforgettable moments on the course but also reinforced its lasting legacy of bringing people together to make a meaningful difference in local communities. Each year, the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give highlights the powerful impact of the Meijer Simply Give hunger relief program, and this year was no different. This year, LPGA pro and hall of famer, Juli Inkster joined Doug Meijer for a visit to North End Community Ministry Pantry on the northeast side of Grand Rapids, offering a firsthand look at how community partnerships are making a difference. The pantry’s executive director, Laura Castle, gave a tour of the facility, walking the group through the pantry’s day-to-day operations as well as their store offering fresh goods, George’s farm market. Over the past 17 years, the Meijer Simply Give program has generated more than $100 million for food pantries across the Midwest, helping ensure families have access to the food and resources they need. #meijercommunity    

As part of the kickoff to the 12th Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, we were proud to host our annual Lena Meijer Community Luncheon, a special event dedicated to celebrating the remarkable contributions of our local vendors and community partners. This year, we were especially excited to recognize two standout vendors, Gradys Garden and Van Eerden Trucking Company, Inc., for their continued success in growing their businesses in partnership with Meijer. As part of their recognition, they each had the opportunity to donate $5,000 to a hunger relief organization of their choice on behalf of Meijer. As part of our ongoing commitment to hunger relief, we're proud to recognize 18 recipients of our first-ever Meijer Hunger Relief Hero Awards, honoring volunteers who are making a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger across the Midwest. Chosen from nearly 400 nominations, each recipient received a $500 Meijer gift card and commemorative plaque, while the nonprofit that nominated them received a $5,000 donation in their honor.
