Loudoun SHRM hosted the first meeting of 2026 last night and it was a doozy in the most wonderful way. Guest speaker Misti Mukherjee from Extensio Law was amazing. We covered Hot Topics and Emerging Trends (as much as we could in an hour and half!). What made this presentation special was it was about laws and compliance- but Misti made it digestible and interactive. As HR professionals we have a responsibility to monitor the ever changing business landscape. This presentation focused on EEOC, the current and future stated of DEI, Internal investigations and touch on the emerging AI trends in the workplace. I am grateful I attended and the information that was provided will help me to further support my clients and partners.
