Thank you to the National Veteran Small Business Coalition - NVSBC for hosting an incredible VETS26 Conference in New Orleans! Rico Rivera and Pete Egan had the privilege of attending this impactful event, where government leaders, prime contractors, and small businesses came together to explore emerging priorities and strengthen partnerships across the federal community. Throughout the conference, discussions across AI and the future of veteran-focused technology and healthcare highlighted a few key points: -AI works best when humans remain in control. Ensuring human oversight in AI is a key principle as agencies move from experimentation to implementation. -The value of bringing working solutions. Industry's ability to demonstrate value matters far more than its ability to describe it. -Veteran experience remains at the center of the conversation. Whether discussing technology, healthcare, or operations, the goal is reducing friction and making it easier for Veterans to access the benefits and services they have earned. -The power of government-industry collaboration. Conversations with partners, customers, and peers reinforced that meaningful progress happens when government and industry work together with a shared focus on mission and service to Veterans.
