Participants will analyse each stop from design, manufacturing, construction and stakeholder perspectives, connecting the concepts introduced during the workshop with real-world applications. I had the pleasure of participating in an event hosted by Becquerel Institute and Hespul bringing together experts from across the photovoltaic ecosystem to discuss one of the key challenges facing our industry: how to extend BIPV's lifetime. I had the opportunity to present VOLTEC SOLAR's approach to eco-design and durability, focusing on three key objectives: 🛡️ Designing modules that last longer through robust material selection and reliability-driven development. ⏳ Maximizing the service lifetime of PV modules, as longevity remains one of the most effective ways to improve the sustainability of solar energy. ♻️ Enhancing recyclability, by considering end-of-life constraints from the very beginning of the design process and facilitating material recovery. It was also a pleasure to share the stage with Gaétan Carrier from Freesuns, our partner in the European SPHINX project, where we are jointly developing innovative BIPV solutions and Alain Straboni from S'TILE with whom we share a common vision for the future of photovoltaics and have collaborated on several projects over the years. A big thank you to the Becquerel Institute and Hespul, especially Melodie de l'Epine and Marielle Perrin, for organizing this event and creating a space for open and constructive discussions between all actors of the PV ecosystem.
