Your health score says the account is green. Six weeks later, it churns. This keeps happening because health scores measure what customers did. Signal models measure what they are about to do. That gap is where renewal surprises live and it is costing GTM teams revenue they thought was locked in. On March 17, Brent Grimes (Reef.ai) and Anthony DeShazor (Protia Revenue Systems) break down why traditional health scores miss the mark, what a real signal model looks like, and how to operationalize it across CS, Sales, and RevOps. If you have ever been blindsided by a renewal loss on an account that looked healthy, this is the session. Tuesday, March 17 at 12 PM ET (9 am PT) on LinkedIn Live. https://lnkd.in/eZ_muwtN

  • Net revenue retention across public SaaS companies has dropped 14 points. That’s a wake-up call for revenue leaders. Thank you Thomas Lah and the TSIA team for the conversation with our Founder and CEO Brent Grimes on the latest episode of #TECHtonic. They dive into how AI is helping teams move beyond lagging dashboards to predictive models that surface churn risk and expansion opportunities months earlier. Worth a listen for anyone thinking about how revenue management is evolving. Listen here: https://bit.ly/3ONtLGq

100 public SaaS companies showed a 14-point decline in net revenue retention. Renewals and expansion are under pressure, and guesswork isn’t enough. On this episode of #TECHtonic, Thomas Lah, Executive Director and EVP at TSIA, is joined by Brent Grimes, Founder and CEO at Reef.ai, to discuss how AI is reshaping revenue management. They explore how predictive models identify churn risk months in advance, where expansion opportunities are hiding, and how revenue teams are moving from dashboards to AI-driven workflows. If you own revenue, this conversation will change how you think about 2026. Listen to the full episode: https://bit.ly/3ONtLGq #AIEconomics #SaaSLeadership #RevenueManagement #CustomerSuccess #CRO

Green health score 🟢 . Missed renewal 🔴 . Awkward QBR. We’ve all seen it. The issue isn’t that Customer Success teams aren’t working hard. It’s that most health scores were never designed to predict outcomes, they were designed to summarize activity. As more companies double down on expansion and net revenue retention, “surprise churn” isn’t just frustrating. It’s expensive. That’s why on March 17 at 12pm ET, our CEO & Founder Brent Grimes is joining Anthony DeShazor, Founder & Chief Architect of Protia Revenue Systems to unpack what actually drives predictive retention: • Why traditional health scoring keeps missing the signal • How to move from static scores to outcome-based signal models • What it takes to operationalize this across CS + GTM If retention and predictable growth are on your 2025 roadmap, you should join us, register here -> https://luma.com/tuu6ri8l #CustomerSuccess #ChurnPrediction #RevenueOperations

Last week in London at The Customer Conference, what stayed with me most were the conversations outside of the sessions. The conference team described Day 2 as fully dedicated to Customer Success and Support, and that felt right. So many of the discussions were casual and candid in the best way. Leaders talking openly about what’s hard right now: retention pressure, AI fatigue, and the real challenge of proving impact without losing the human side of the work. Those conversations are exactly why we built Reef.ai. After leading a SaaS company through hypergrowth, I learned that scaling isn’t about throwing more resources at the problem. It’s about making sure teams are focused on the right customers at the right time, and that only happens when customer data actually reveals risk, opportunity, and timing (with precision!). We’re in an era where AI gives us the chance to treat every customer like our most important one, but only if we have a clear view of their history and an honest picture of what’s likely to happen next. That’s the foundation we’re working toward at Reef. Grateful to the organizers, speakers, and everyone who took the time to share openly. I left London with a lot to think about and a renewed appreciation for how thoughtful this community really is. -Brent #CustomerSuccess #Leadership #TheCustomerConference #ReefAI #AI #PredictiveRevenueIntelligence

  • AI isn’t just a productivity boost, it’s becoming your next revenue team member. In our recent “From AI Hype to Revenue Impact: How Predictive Revenue Intelligence Is Powering Retention, Growth, and the Next Generation of AI Agents” webinar, we broke down how to go from scattered customer data → predictive scores → revenue-generating agents. What made this webinar different? We brought 3 different perspectives into one session: 1️⃣ Vijay Mehrotra, Professor of Business Analytics at University of San Francisco — cutting through the AI noise with a research-backed lens on what predictive models really need to work. 2️⃣ Justin Chappell, Head of Digital Strategy at OneTrust— showing how his team saved $$$ by building a modern, digital-first CS motion with predictive renewals. 3️⃣ Brent Grimes, CEO and Founder of Reef.ai — drawing on years of firsthand experience helping companies clean, score, and act on their customer data. 💡 Top 5 Takeaways: -Why most health scores fail (and how to fix them) -What a real Revenue Strategy Agent looks like -How to automate forecasting (and free up your team) -Why your data is better than you think -How to pitch AI to your CFO and actually get budget Watch the full recording here → https://lnkd.in/gGJDgm4V #AI #CustomerSuccess #PredictiveRevenueIntelligence #PredictiveAnalytics #ReefAI #NRR #GRR #WebinarReplay #AIagents #DigitalStrategy

AI in CS is stuck in the messy middle. At NY Success Week, I asked Brent Grimes from Reef.ai a simple question: Where are GTM teams really with AI adoption? His answer: Plenty of AI projects. Very few signals strong enough to change a forecast, renewal plan, or board slide. For GTM orgs, that is the real execution gap → Fewer signals, higher conviction. What we should look into with AI: 1️⃣ Revenue signal Churn, down sell, and expansion probabilities 6 to 12 months out that influence your commit, not just a health score. 2️⃣ Value signal Proof that customers are achieving outcomes that tie directly to renewal and expansion, not just logins or activity. 3️⃣ Coverage signal Clear visibility into which champions, buyers, and users are engaged with those outcomes, and how recently. If AI cannot help you see risk and expansion early enough to change the number, it stays in the experiment bucket. Are you growning in dashboards and still guessing on renewals? #reef #ai #GTM #renewals #cs

Most teams are swimming in AI hype… but few are actually turning predictions into revenue impact. This session changes that.
