She's Got Time

Last week I attended the She's Got Time Women in Sports Summit at the Wynn in Las Vegas. So many real, practical tools for handling the pressure that comes with leading, especially how to show up with more presence, speak with confidence, and communicate in a way that actually sticks. The best advice that will stay with me: "Your experiences aren't obstacles to overcome, they're evidence of your leadership capacity." What we've been through isn't baggage. It's the resume. Last week was one of those weeks where it felt impossible to see and do it all, but I certainly tried. From Las Vegas for Swin Cash 4th annual She's Got Time Summit, NBA Summer League and Nike EYBL, to New York for CNBC x Boardroom Game Plan Conference, Fanatics Fest and World Cup activities, one theme kept showing up: Growing YOUR game & Growing THE game. At She's Got Time, I spent two days surrounded by women in sports committed to investing in themselves and each other. Hearing leaders like Swin Cash, Sandra Osayuki Idehen League One Volleyball (LOVB), Donna Orender, Shelly Cayette, TSpoon & many more share their experiences was a reminder that the best careers are built on INTEGRITY, belief in yourself and finding JOY in the work. NBA Summer League's opening week—especially with Nike EYBL happening at the same time—continues to evolve into one of the industry's biggest gathering points. Beyond the basketball, it's become a place where planned meetings turn into unexpected conversations and relationships. Moving She's Got Time to Vegas that week was a smart move, and I'm curious to see what other events begin to anchor themselves around it. Then came Game Plan in New York. Having attended previous years in LA, this one felt different. Bringing it into Fanatics Fest created a true industry moment, with thoughtful conversations on stage and many of the sports business leaders you hope to run into in the audience. Stepping onto the Fanatics Fest floor before the doors opened only reinforced that feeling. Add in the World Cup Final festivities, a record-setting NWSL crowd at Citi Field, Dodgers vs. Yankees, WWE at Madison Square Garden plus the unmatched NY energy across the city, and Michael Rubin's idea of building an annual "Sports Week" suddenly doesn't feel far-fetched. One week. Two cities. Countless conversations. The common thread wasn't just growing the game—it was investing in the people, relationships and moments that will shape where the industry goes next. P.S. Every trip back home to NYC has a few non-negotiables - Blank Street matcha, a bacon, egg & cheese (BECSPK) and a Pio Pio meal (more green sauce pls!) 😉

This year we’re setting Higher Stakes, Higher Standards — centering on women who are setting their own bar instead of living by someone else's. I’m leaving the 4th Annual She's Got Time Women in Sports Summit in Las Vegas feeling inspired, motivated, and incredibly grateful. It was an honor to be surrounded by so many accomplished women who are leading, innovating, and creating opportunities across the sports industry. A sincere thank you to Swin Cash for building a community where women can connect, share their experiences, and empower one another. One of the biggest takeaways from this conference was the opportunity to learn from women at every stage of their career, from those just beginning their journey in sports to leaders who have spent decades shaping the industry. Every conversation offered a new perspective, valuable advice, and a reminder of the power of building meaningful relationships.
