Subaru of America reposted this
We launched the 2026 Subaru of America WRX base trim across England a couple of weeks ago, and I'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal for performance and usability. Started at Oulton Park — a circuit that forgives neither laziness nor jet lag — before pointing the WRX toward Goodwood Festival of Speed, threading a mix of Welsh B-roads, motorways, and the kind of roundabouts that make American drivers question their life choices. The base WRX doesn't skip the good stuff, and there's plenty more potential to unlock. The 2.4-liter turbo boxer still makes 271 horsepower, Symmetrical AWD still finds grip where front-drivers give up, and a 6-speed manual that still rewards you for paying attention. Everything you want, nothing you don't need — a chassis that talks to you and a price tag that leaves money for track days. By the time the Duke's driveway came into view, the case was closed: you don't need mega bucks to have fun. You just need the right roads.
