We had the recent honor of hosting U.S. NRC Commissioner Matthew Marzano for a tour of our New Mexico uranium enrichment plant with members of the company’s senior leadership team. Commissioner Marzano visited several key aspects of the facility, including a centrifuge hall, the cylinder receipt and dispatch area, and the control room. We appreciate Commissioner Marzano’s discussion about our plans for expansion and the work we are doing at the site to ensure a reliable and robust supply of enrichment for U.S. customers.
✈️ Commissioner Marzano visited Urenco USA in Eunice, New Mexico, to tour the facility and discuss URENCO’s role in supporting the nation’s nuclear power sector. The visit provided an opportunity to learn more about URENCO’s operations and ongoing commitment to safety, security, and reliable fuel supply.

Congratulations to the U.S. advanced reactor companies that achieved initial criticality under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Reactor Pilot Program, including Urenco’s customers Aalo Atomics, Antares Nuclear, and Valar Atomics. This milestone showcases the remarkable progress of the U.S. advanced reactor industry and moves innovative nuclear technologies one step closer to commercial deployment. Urenco is proud to support these pioneering companies as part of their fuel supply teams and looks forward to helping power the next generation of clean, reliable nuclear energy. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eS--4X_c #NuclearEnergy #AdvancedReactors #Innovation #EnergySecurity

🤝 Long-term partnerships power long-term progress. We appreciate the focus here from the American Nuclear Society on the role of long-term customer commitments in enabling new capacity. Our expansion in New Mexico is backed by demand from U.S. utilities and will support both current reactor operations and future growth across the nuclear sector. https://lnkd.in/gvWpeJ6a A strong, reliable domestic fuel supply is critical as the industry continues to evolve. “We thank our customers for their trust in us… Their commitments support our investment decision to expand this vital facility.”— Sarah Riedel, MBA, President & CEO, Urenco Inc. #CustomerTrust #EnergyPartnerships #UrencoUSA

Our teams continue to deliver on our commitment to strengthening the U.S. nuclear fuel supply. We’ve successfully started up the fifth new cascade at our New Mexico facility—ahead of schedule and on budget—with production beginning June 22. This milestone is part of our ongoing program to install 700,000 SWU of new capacity by early 2027, reinforcing our role as a reliable, domestic supplier supporting U.S. utilities and allied nations. Our current capacity program also supports our upcoming work to refurbish existing capacity at the site and to construct a new enrichment process building that will hold 2.1 million SWU of additional capacity, expanding our total capacity to 7+ million SWU over the next decade. These investments align with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) priorities to expand domestic fuel capabilities and position Urenco USA to help power the next phase of growth for the U.S. nuclear industry. As Managing Director John Kirkpatrick shared: “Our teams are demonstrating what is possible when plans become actions and results.” 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eH5kXXYi #NuclearEnergy #EnergySecurity #CleanEnergy #UraniumEnrichment #Infrastructure #USManufacturing
