The past month took us overseas and back. Demo floors with NATO allies. Rooms full of operators and engineers who have spent the better part of their careers thinking about what happens when we can't rely on GPS. An evaluation phase that pushed our team harder than anything we've done publicly, and made us better for it. What has stayed with our team is the countless conversations we've had. In every room, on every floor, the same realization kept surfacing: contested autonomy isn't a problem we're preparing for. It's a problem the world faces today. Our collective takeaway: most of today's systems assume GPS outages are short. When the signal stays down for an hour, they drift and can't finish the mission. That's not a problem to fix down the road. These environments already exist, but the framework, the mandate, and the direction for building for them has to be a priority now. We're grateful for the teams that hosted us, challenged us, and chose to build with us. The work ahead is significant, and so is the momentum. An exciting time to be doing this work. GPS jamming and spoofing are now standard conditions on the modern battlefield. Operators in Ukraine and Gaza have shown what happens to unmanned systems and munitions when their navigation depends on a signal an adversary can deny. Defense policymakers are converging on the same conclusion. As referenced in the SASC NDAA FY27 text, protecting the precision, navigation, and timing of unmanned systems is moving from a recommendation to a requirement, and that requirement reaches the systems already in the field. The hard part is scale. Hardening navigation by adding new counter-EW hardware to existing platforms is slow, expensive, and bounded by size, weight, and power. A fleet that is already deployed cannot wait for a hardware refresh to survive contested conditions. PhantomNAV closes the navigation gap in software. It runs on existing onboard sensors and platform compute, with no new hardware required. Under active GPS denial, PhantomNAV holds sub-10-meter error at 60 minutes, a 20x improvement over unaided inertial navigation. It is fielded today on air and maritime platforms. That is what meeting the requirement at scale looks like. Resilience the existing fleet can carry now.
