THREAT UPDATE 🚨 GitHub Actions misconfig → 5 malicious npm packages → 140K+ daily downloads. 🔍 Here's what happened: 1) Attackers exploited a GitHub Actions "pwn request" flaw to steal a privileged GitHub token. 2) They used it to publish malicious @asyncapi packages containing a multi-stage payload that activates on import. 3) The malware steals credentials, tokens, cloud keys, crypto wallets, and enables remote access. 🚨 GhostApproval: We tested 6 AI coding assistants. What we found changed how we think about AI security. Our Wiz Research team uncovered #GhostApproval, a new vulnerability pattern affecting 6 major AI coding assistants. The idea behind these tools is simple: the AI suggests a change, and you approve it. But what happens when the approval screen doesn't show what's actually happening? By abusing a decades-old technique, symbolic links, we found cases where AI agents could access files outside their workspace, while the user saw a harmless looking confirmation prompt. The lesson?
