The Role We’re looking for a hands-on Clinical Researcher to turn clinical data into clear decisions. You’ll work directly with leadership, shaping trial design, strategy, and competitive positioning. This is a high-impact role with real ownership. We’re looking for someone to bridge clinical science and business, translating complex clinical data into insights that guide R&D, medical strategy, and commercial decisions. Responsibilities Review and interpret clinical publications, study designs, and outcomes. Assess relevance of clinical findings to current and future programs. Analyze competitor pipelines and regulatory updates. Translate clinical data into recommendations on trial design, positioning, and indications. Develop evidence-based clinical strategies. Oversee CRO selection and management. Create clear reports, dashboards, and presentations. Happy New Year - We're looking for a SENIOR R&D ANALYTICAL SCIENTIST to join our team. 20BLOC is a privately held development-stage biopharmaceutical company with a mission to create breakthrough protein-based drugs to save lives. Our lead product is an innovative solution to provide oxygen to tissues. Our culture is enthusiastic, proactive, and hard-working. If you are familiarity with organic chemistry, protein chemistry, and analytical methods for the characterization of proteins in both the native and chemically modified states this is the ideal role for you. You will lead part of our assay development program of a novel hemoglobin-based oxygen carrying (HBOC) product as well as other protein related products. It involves hands-on R&D work in the laboratory, directing and carrying out experiments as well as coming up with technical improvements and novel product concepts.     Responsibilities •      Develop biochemical assays from the ground up.  •      Set up new analytical equipment with a focus on protein biophysical characterization. •      Facilitate disciplinary work among R&D, Production and Analytical teams. •      Brainstorming and thinking through complex issues; with the ability to comfortably deal with ambiguity.   Basic Qualifications: •      PhD in biochemistry or a related field with 4+ years industry experience, or BS or MS in biological or life sciences related field with 8+ years industry experience. •      Knowledge in the production of purified enzymes or proteins at lab scale and beyond. •      Experience with microbial recombinant protein expression platforms, fermentation, and strain development. •      Experience with protein-protein interaction measurements, enzyme activity, MichaelisMenten kinetics, and binding kinetics. •      Hands-on experience with protein analytical methods such as HPLC (SEC, AEX/CEX, HIC, RP, etc.), ELISAs, electrophoretic methods (SDS-PAGE, icIEF), LC/MS analyses, PCR, western blot, and MS-based methods.   •      Working with cell lysates and other complex protein mixtures is a plus. •      Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a cross functional collaborative work environment.     Please apply at Jobs@20bloc.com – in subject line: Senior R&D Analytical Scientist.
