M Kim O’Connor & Associates is a family-focused group psychotherapy practice serving clients across southern Westchester County and the Greenwich, CT corridor. We are a self-pay, out-of-network practice with a strong reputation for thoughtful, evidence-informed care. We value collaborative care and regularly coordinate with our clients’ physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and other treatment providers to support integrated, whole-person treatment. Our clinicians work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families across a range of presenting concerns, with particular depth in anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum, family systems, identity development, and life-stage transitions.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled child therapist with demonstrated expertise working with children ages 5
through 12 and their families. This is a part-time position, with a target caseload of 12 to 15 clients per
week, and carries clear potential to grow to full-time at 25 or more clients per week based on referral
volume and fit. The ideal candidate brings developmental attunement, a family systems orientation, and specialized training in evidence-based modalities for this age group. Clinical supervision is provided by the practice owner, M. Kim O’Connor, LCSW, and includes both individual and group supervision.
Key Responsibilities
● Carry a caseload of child clients ages 5–12, with a focus on individual psychotherapy
● Engage families as a core component of treatment, including parent guidance and behavioral
parent training
● Participate in individual and group clinical supervision with the practice owner and team
● Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation using SimplePractice
● Communicate professionally with referral sources, schools, and collateral providers as clinically
appropriate
● Contribute to a collaborative and collegial team culture
● Support practice growth by building relationships with referral sources such as schools,
pediatricians, and community providers
Qualifications Required
● New York State licensure in good standing: LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
● Connecticut licensure or eligibility is strongly preferred, given the practice’s client geography
across Westchester County and the Greenwich, CT corridor
● Demonstrated clinical experience with children ages 5–12 and their families
● Training or experience in one or more of the following: TF-CBT, a demonstrated competency in
connecting with children through a wide variety of play therapy techniques
● Competence working within a family systems framework, with experience in parent guidance
and behavioral parent training
● LGBTQIA+ affirming and neuroaffirming practice and cultural competence across diverse
populations
● Professional, organized, and reliable, with the ability to manage documentation and
communication independently
Preferred
● Background in school-based clinical experience to offer support to parents understanding and
advocating for school-based interventions

Compensation
Compensation is structured as a percentage-based fee split of collected session fees. The fee split percentage varies based on licensure level and experience, ranging from 50% to 60% of collected fees.
