About The Apprenticeship Program
One way we cultivate talent at Blum is through Apprenticeship 2000. This 4-year, paid training program combines real-world experience with college-level learning. It’s designed to give motivated high school students a direct path into exciting, in-demand careers—without the burden of student debt.
Started in 1995, the Apprenticeship 2000 program is a collaboration between leading manufacturers in the greater Charlotte area of North Carolina. At Blum, we proudly offer hands-on training, free college tuition and guaranteed job placement after graduation.
Currently 28 apprentices in the Blum US program
For 30 years Blum US has trained apprentices
To date 95 graduates have completed the program
What you'll get
8,000 hours of total training—including 1,800 hours of classroom instruction
A debt-free associate degree in Mechatronics from Central Piedmont Community College
A Journeyworker’s Certificate from the NC Department of Commerce
A guaranteed full-time job at Blum upon graduation
