Los Lunas Community Program (LLCP) is part of the New Mexico Department of Health. LLCP provides residential, supported living, community support services, and employments supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program operates an intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and community homes throughout Valencia County, ensuring individuals receive high-quality, person-centered care that promotes independence, safety, and inclusion.

Why does the job exist?
The purpose of this position is to provide supervision, training and career coaching through mentoring to the maintenance workers within the Los Lunas Community Program. This position will inspect work of maintenance workers to ensure projects are completed properly, efficiently and in compliance with established standards and codes. The incumbent will identify and analyze problems, weigh relevance, evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations. This position will also participate in maintenance, repair and grounds keeping duties.
How does it get done?
This position will supervise the Maintenance Department workers by providing oversight, direction and training.
Who are the customers?
Los Lunas Community Program Staff, Department of Health Staff, Individuals Served by Los Lunas Community Program, Lessors for leased properties within LLCP and other External customers in the Community.
Ideal Candidate
Ability to multi-task numerous projects at the same time
Experience as a Supervisor
Experience in maintenance machinery, tools, plumbing and HVAC
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or Equivalent and two (2) years of experience in general buildings and grounds maintenance, custodial duties, construction, or appliance repair. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Employment is conditional pending results of a criminal background check.
Working Conditions
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors; lifting, climbing, walking; exposure to hazards such as boilers, dust, high noise levels, fumes and rodents. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. On call 24/7 during inclement weather.
