This individual will play a critical leadership role by managing daily operations, supervising field staff, and supporting organizational growth. Job Description:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading day-to-day activities across a regional EMS operation, including oversight of EMT staff, scheduling, staffing logistics, and compliance. This is a hands-on role that requires a combination of operational expertise, team leadership, and excellent communication. The ideal candidate has experience in emergency medical services and is ready to step into an impactful leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations and manage a team of 10–12 EMTs
Oversee staff scheduling and ensure adequate shift coverage
Collaborate with healthcare facilities and internal teams to ensure smooth coordination
Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance oversight for field staff
Review operational processes and recommend improvements
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations
Maintain operational readiness by inspecting vehicles, stations, and equipment
Submit payroll and service reports in a timely manner
Monitor and enhance dispatch and response performance metrics
Participate in leadership meetings and remain accessible for operational needs
Qualifications:
EMT, Paramedic, or clinical background strongly preferred
Prior leadership experience in healthcare, hospitality, retail, or service-based industries
Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment
Ability to lift and move up to 250 lbs as needed
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for team development and operational efficiency
