Senior Superintendent – Commercial Construction

A leading ENR-ranked commercial General Contractor is hiring a Senior Superintendent to lead major ground-up construction projects throughout the Los Angeles market.

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced construction professional with strong job tenure and a proven background delivering large, complex projects with a commercial General Contractor.

The company has an established Los Angeles pipeline across the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors. Typical project values range from approximately $30M to $50M, with larger projects reaching $100M.

All projects are located in the Los Angeles area, offering reduced commute times with no out-of-state travel or relocation required.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading all field operations from preconstruction and mobilization through completion and final closeout
• Taking overall responsibility for jobsite safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, productivity, and subcontractor performance
• Managing ground-up construction projects typically valued between $30M and $50M, with larger assignments reaching approximately $100M
• Developing and maintaining master schedules, look-ahead schedules, site logistics plans, and sequencing strategies
• Leading subcontractor coordination meetings, daily planning sessions, safety meetings, and owner walkthroughs
• Coordinating subcontractors, trade partners, inspections, material deliveries, equipment, and workforce requirements
• Working closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partners
• Developing Assistant Superintendents and Project Superintendents through hands-on mentoring and leadership

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including significant experience in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent position
• Proven experience delivering large, ground-up projects with a commercial General Contractor
• Strong background in education, healthcare, commercial, or similarly complex construction projects
• Experience leading projects in the $30M–$100M range
• A strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, site logistics, safety, quality control, and subcontractor management
• Ability to manage complex construction sequences and coordinate multiple trades effectively
• Experience working with project management teams during preconstruction, procurement, construction, and closeout
• Experience working within the Los Angeles construction market is preferred
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, although equivalent field experience will be considered
• Solid job tenure is important
