We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Associate to join our team.
How you will add value to 20BLOC
The Warehouse Associate role is integral to the integrity of our supply chain, supporting GMP-compliant receiving, shipping, material management, inventory control activities, facility operations. The Warehouse Associate will work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Procurement to ensure materials are received, verified, stored, and tracked in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Verification - Confirm all incoming deliveries against purchase orders, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), packing slips, and shipping manifests. Inspect shipments for evidence of damage, temperature excursions, and labeling compliance. Apply receiving labels and initiate material disposition workflows in coordination with QA.
- Shipping Support - Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying items against shipping orders, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation. Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to schedule pickups and ensure timely, accurate dispatch of materials.
- Chemical Handling - Verify Safety Data Sheet (SDS) availability and GHS labeling compliance for all incoming chemicals. Ensure proper segregation, secondary containment, and storage in accordance with applicable safety regulations and site SOPs.
- Inventory Management - Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records across all storage locations. Implement and enforce FIFO methodologies. Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure all reconciliation activities are fully documented in compliance with GMP standards.
- Documentation - Record all receiving transactions and material movements in strict compliance with GMP documentation standards. Coordinate with Quality Assurance for material status updates, quarantine management, and disposition approvals.
- Systems Support - Maintain and update inventory and receiving records in applicable systems. Actively support the organization’s transition to GMP-compliant platforms (ERP/WMS) as the company scales, contributing to data migration, process validation, and user acceptance activities as needed.
- Shift Support - Support early shift operations to ensure materials activities align with production schedules and needs.
- Facility Support - Support day-to-day facility operations and assist with coordination of facility vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Additional Support (as needed) – this position will be supporting a company in early phase start up and may require additional duties on and as needed basis such as, but not limited to, collection and disposal of recycleables, collection and disposal of (non-hazardous) trash, moving office furniture, unpacking moving or placing lab equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, receiving, or materials management role; experience in a regulated industry preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency operating manual material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts; ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data entry, inventory tracking, and routine recordkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining accurate records in a GMP-compliant environment.
- Willingness and ability to perform duties beyond the scope of this job description as business needs require.
- Availability to work overtime as needed based on business and operational demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GMP warehouse or materials management experience within a pharmaceutical, biologics, or biotechnology manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with 5S and Lean methodology; demonstrated ability to maintain organized, compliant storage and work areas.
- Hands-on experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and transaction processing.
- Working knowledge of hazardous chemical handling requirements, including GHS/SDS compliance, chemical segregation, and safe storage practices.

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Thousand Oaks, California, and requires working on-site Monday through Friday. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We are not sponsoring employment visas.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $25-30 per hour. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including, without limitation, individual education, experience, tenure, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data, including potential adjustments for geographic location.
