A FLAG footprint is only as good as what you actually know about the land behind it. Land cover, land-use change, what is growing where, how it has shifted over time. For most supply bases, that layer is a guess. ODOS Tech Land Intelligence removes the guess. We map any farm or parcel from satellite: current land cover, land-use change and deforestation, drawing on a 10-year archive at resolutions down to 0.5 m. A new farm takes around 30 minutes to map. That land layer does two jobs at once. It sharpens the Scope 3 FLAG number, where land-use change is one of the largest and least understood components, and it underpins the nature picture across the same supply base. So instead of three separate exercises for carbon, land and nature, it is one baseline: measured once, kept current, and reported to the standards your buyers already work to, from Science Based Targets initiative FLAG to SAI Platform. Knowing your supply base starts with knowing the land it sits on. See how we mapped Carbery's land: https://lnkd.in/e2yiyhA8

Hello everyone, TerraScane v0.6 is now live. TerraScane is a free and open-access scientific platform that makes satellite image analysis accessible to everyone. It runs entirely in your browser — no installation required — and delivers outputs as scientific PDF reports, GeoTIFF, Excel, and KMZ files. What's new in this release: -Run single-period or two-period comparative land cover analysis and download the results as a KMZ file you can open directly in Google Earth Pro. All land cover classes within your polygon are reported in both hectares and percentages. -Any recent deforestation activity in your area is automatically verified through independent satellite sources. -With a single click, the platform checks whether your area is a permanent water body using multi-source comparison. The distance to the nearest permanent water body is also measured and reported. -Run all of these analyses on multiple areas at once and download them together in a single file. This accelerates the pre-fieldwork preparation phase for carbon projects, environmental impact assessments, sustainable land management, and ecological research. Most people focus on the property they're buying. Environmental professionals also look around it. Why? Because what's happening next door can be just as important as what's happening on the property itself. A nearby facility, former industrial site, landfill, or flood-prone area may provide valuable context during environmental due diligence. That's why professionals don't just evaluate a parcel—they evaluate its surroundings. A property's location tells a story. Its neighborhood helps complete it. The best decisions are made with the full picture in mind. 🌐 Learn more about Environmental Intelligence Reports: https://lnkd.in/deHhiekW #EnvironmentalDueDiligence #GIS #CommercialRealEstate #PropertyDevelopment #EnvironmentalConsulting #GeoScopeSolutions #LocationIntelligence #FridayFacts

World Mangrove Day 2026 brings a mix of hope and a reality check. On one hand, the latest data shows a welcome win: globally, mangrove extent is stable and even slightly increasing. On the other hand, we just crossed a sad threshold: over 1 million mangrove loss alerts since we started monitoring (and we're only monitoring half the world's mangroves now). While the big-picture numbers look promising, global trends can easily mask local realities. We're seeing accelerating losses in places like Nigeria, Mexico, and Sierra Leone, some driven directly by human activity, others by subtle shifts in climate and hydrology. So while data gives us the big picture, local context tells the real story and that's exactly why the Global Mangrove Alliance couldn't be successful without it's national chapters. Satellite alerts tell us that something is happening on the ground, but it takes local knowledge and on-the-ground expertise to understand why, and, more importantly, how to respond effectively. ARR offtake volume doubled in 2025 and value tripled with buyers locking in supply well ahead of registration. If you're building a project under VM0047, Isometric's Reforestation Protocol, or Equitable Earth, demand isn't your problem right now. Getting registry-ready fast enough is. On July 29, we're running a practical walkthrough of how Sylvera's Methodology Toolkit takes projects from site eligibility screening to dynamic baselining, VVB- and registry-ready, in days rather than weeks. You'll see: - How we qualify sites, and how fast you could get answers for yours - How to prepare for VVB and registry engagement - A real project walked through end-to-end, with concrete before/after comparisons against the traditional approach Best for: forestry project developers who want a faster path to registration without building geospatial capability in-house. With our very own Gabrielius Glemža (VP Product), Rex Devereux (Geospatial Data Scientist), and Ellen Stirling (Technical Climate Consultant). Can't make it live? Register anyway and we'll send you the recording. Register here 👉 https://lnkd.in/ey_nZ89F
