🎉 Big news this week! Insurtech UK has launched its new Women in Insurtech programme — and we're thrilled to see this important initiative come to life. The programme is dedicated to championing women in our sector, encouraging and supporting them by highlighting success stories and spotlighting opportunities for growth and development. With so much still to change — from the funding gap facing female founders to representation at senior levels — this kind of visibility and advocacy matters more than ever. It feels especially meaningful that Insurtech UK itself — led by female CEO Melissa Collett — is the one driving this initiative forward. As part of the launch, Insurtech UK spoke to four remarkable women shaping our industry, sharing their career journeys, challenges and honest views on gender equality in Insurtech: 👏 Katya K. — Co-founder and CTO of nettle 👏 Luisa Barile — CEO of ManyPets 👏 Joanne Safo — Co-founder and CEO of Lukango 👏 Louise Birritteri — Founder and CEO of Pikl 🎙️ A fitting week for it, too. As some of you saw live from Outset Studio, this was also the week we recorded the relaunch of the We Are InsurTech Women podcast, with our brilliant new host Charlotte Gregory (Partner at Capital Law Ltd and Insurtech UK member) at the helm. Two milestones for women in Insurtech, one very special week — our new episodes are coming very soon! 👉 Read the Women in Insurtech interviews and find out more about the programme: https://lnkd.in/e2MUQqmv 👉 Follow We Are InsurTech Women to be the first to hear when our new podcast episodes drop! #WomenInInsurtech #Insurtech #InsurtechUK #DiversityInInsurance #WAIWPodcast

Building Udama has taught me that leadership isn’t about always having the right answers. Sometimes, it’s simply about showing up, listening to people, and taking the time to understand their reality before trying to solve a problem.
Every community visit is an opportunity to understand challenges, strengthen relationships, and support women with the tools they need to grow sustainable businesses. This is what financial inclusion looks like. #UdamaInitiative #WomenEmpowerment #FinancialInclusion #Nigeria
