Been chatting with GM's of sports teams. Getting one-time ticket buyers to come twice, or three times, is the name of the game right now. More fan engagement, and more sponsorship as a result of it. What we're trying to see is, if you text your casual fans, on gameday, reminding them that they can catch the game tonight, will they sell more seats? And beyond just sending messages out... what kind of insights do you capture when fans can actually reply, and start having convo's with your team. Is this valuable? What else do teams need?

If a restaurant consistently serves bad food, we stop going. If a streaming platform no longer has shows we enjoy, we cancel our subscription. If a brand disappoints us repeatedly, we switch to another. So why doesn't sports work the same way? Every season, there are teams that don't win championships. Some don't even come close. Yet their fans continue to buy jerseys, fill stadiums, watch every match, and come back the next season believing, "Maybe this is our year." From a business perspective, that's fascinating. It made me realise that sports teams aren't just competing to win trophies. They're building something much harder to replicate: a sense of identity and belonging. The strongest fan bases aren't always created by the most successful teams. They're created by shared memories, traditions, rivalries, communities, and the emotional investment that builds over years. Winning attracts attention. But belonging creates loyalty. That's one of the reasons I find the business of sports so interesting. Sometimes the most valuable asset a team has isn't its star player or its trophy cabinet, it's the emotional connection people feel towards it. What do you think keeps fans loyal through years of losses? Is it hope, identity, community, or something else? #SportsBusiness #ConsumerBehavior #SportsMarketing #BrandStrategy

THE NEXT SPORTS SERIES IS READY. NOW IT NEEDS THE RIGHT PARTNERS. This video is the opening moments of a ZoneBall game, taken directly from the television pilot that aired on ESPN for several months. The response has proven one thing: people stop scrolling when they see it. They immediately want to know what they’re watching. Now it’s time for the next step. The opportunity isn’t just to promote a new sport—it’s to build a five-episode series that introduces audiences to the game, the players, the personalities, and the journey of creating the next great sports property. The pieces are already in place: 🏀 An exciting, television-ready sport. 🎬 A production company prepared to bring the series to life. 📍 A high-traffic venue that can host recurring events while serving as the home base for filming. 🤝 Opportunities for corporate sponsorship, strategic partnerships, and management representation. I’m not looking to keep talking about what’s possible. I’m looking for the people who want to help make it happen. If you’re a brand looking for original content, a producer searching for the next sports concept, a sponsor looking for something different, or a manager who knows how to build entertainment properties, let’s start the conversation. The foundation is built. Now it’s time to scale ZoneBall. #ZoneBall #NewSport #SportsInnovation #SportsMedia #SportsBusiness

MLB didn't cast TWS for their fandom. They cast them for everyone else. When MLB named TWS the new face of the brand for their winter campaign — now extended into 2026's "Spring in Motion" — the strategic logic wasn't fandom conversion. It was something rarer. Here's what most brands miss: → TWS's defining metric isn't fandom size. They're the first boy group in history to top Melon's annual chart with a debut song — meaning the general public consumes their music, not just core fans. → That distinction matters by category. Fandom power sells limited drops in minutes. General-public acceptance sells ball caps and varsity jackets people wear every day. → MLB's product lives in public. Its face needs to be someone the public — not just a fandom — sees as aspirational. → The multi-season continuity confirms it. Winter into spring isn't a launch stunt. It's a face strategy. The result? A casting decision reverse-engineered from the product, not the popularity rankings. When you shortlist ambassadors, which are you actually measuring — who fans love, or who the public accepts?

Something is shifting in sports licensing and most people haven't noticed yet. The cheap stuff is losing. For years the licensing space was dominated by whoever could produce the most volume at the lowest price point. Fans bought it because it was there. That era is ending. Fans (especially the next generation) are paying premiums. They want gear that looks like something. They want brands they already respect attached to the teams they love. The IP is the same. The difference is what brand is sitting next to it. The rights holders who figure this out first are going to win. Not by licensing to anyone who writes a check...but by being selective about who gets to carry their mark. Quality of partner is becoming a competitive advantage. Which brand collab in sports has actually impressed you lately?

College venues do not need one-off, high-cost productions to create meaningful fan engagement. They need flexible, template-driven systems that turn ideas into repeatable game-day inventory. With Venue4D, teams can create sponsor-ready activations like trivia, live polls, predict-the-play games, virtual giveaways, and interactive fan moments across multiple sports. The result: stronger fan participation, more valuable sponsor opportunities, and a more efficient production workflow.
