Proximity to major employment centers remains a key driver of how mixed-use settings perform during the workweek. Properties embedded in dense office areas benefit from consistent weekday presence, diversified visitation patterns, and steadier daytime demand that supports surrounding uses beyond peak periods. In Atlanta’s West Midtown, The Interlock sits within an active employment corridor anchored by Georgia Tech and a growing base of office tenants. That weekday presence sustains momentum across the district, extending use beyond nights and weekends and strengthening retention, coordination, and long-term competitiveness. #OfficeRealEstate #EmploymentCenters #AssetPerformance #PortfolioStability

Your commute is about to change. According to data shared by Vinny DiMeglio, Executive Vice President at JLL, 56% of Fortune 100 companies are now fully back in office. The average required attendance? 4.02 days per week. That’s not a minor adjustment — that’s a structural shift in corporate policy. When attendance mandates tighten: • Office leasing demand changes • Class A space absorption increases • Transit corridors feel it • And residential demand near job hubs follows If you want to understand where housing markets are headed, follow employment policy. Office attendance hit its highest post-pandemic level in 2025, but parking still hasn't caught up. U.S. office visits rose 5.6% year over year, but they're still about 32% below pre-COVID norms. The more important shift isn't the volume, though. It's the pattern. Tuesday and Wednesday now carry the heaviest office traffic nationally. Friday sits at roughly 37% of pre-pandemic levels, and has become the day most commuters choose to work from home. Three days a week in the office is the most common employer requirement today, up from policies that were still largely flexible just two years ago. For parking assets near office buildings, the drivers showing up today look different from the ones who filled lots five years ago. Their schedules are more predictable, but also more compressed. And the pricing structures most garages offer, like transient rates or monthly passes, were built for a world that no longer exists. The assets gaining traction aren't waiting for a full recovery. They're adapting to the week that's actually in front of them. We've been watching these trends closely. Find out what we're doing about it next week. “If employers experiment with a four-day workweek and employees show they can deliver in four days what they previously delivered in five, management has to justify the fifth day rather than the other way around.” https://bit.ly/4uzohPU

Companies are mandating five days back in the office. 😰 Their employees are quitting instead. We've walked into enough offices in the past 12 months to know why. The demand is for presence. The reality is a room full of desks, bad acoustics and one meeting room shared between forty people. You can't mandate enthusiasm. The offices that are actually getting people back aren't bribing anyone with free coffee or table tennis. They're spaces that people genuinely prefer to working from their spare bedroom. That's a design and fit-out problem, not a policy problem. If you're issuing return-to-office mandates and wondering why it's not working, walk through your own front door and ask yourself honestly whether you'd want to be there. We do this with every client before a brief is written. It's uncomfortable but it's also the only way to build a case for change. What does your office actually need to justify the commute? #Returntooffice #RTO #WorkplaceDesign

In response to local requests, the City of London Corporation published proposals to amend the current operating hours of the pedestrian zone at Devonshire Row in #Bishopsgate. The aim is to support the heavy pedestrian footfall during the working week down the narrow road, often filled those enjoying our local hospitality. A public consultation for the new Traffic Management Order has now completed without any objections and the revised operating hours of 8:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Friday will come into effect on 7 April 2026. Updated signage will be installed to notify all road users of the new timings.

𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 Jordan Daily - Public Service and Administration Commission has concluded its survey soliciting opinions from public sector employees regarding the proposed implementation of a four-day work week. The survey period was extended due to significant participation, allowing a greater number of employees to contribute their views on the potential shift. Eng. Fayez Al-Nahar, President of the Bureau, previously emphasized that the critical factor in deciding whether to implement a three-day weekend for government departments is maintaining the current level of service efficiency and effectiveness. He stated that any disruption to this continuity would determine the fate of the decision, influencing its timing and implementation. Al-Nahar explained that the rationale behind considering a reduced work week includes boosting employee productivity, achieving a better work-life balance, and lowering operational costs for both the government and employees. He also noted the potential positive impact on employees, providing them with opportunities to enhance their skills or pursue private ventures to generate additional income. https://lnkd.in/dtHtmb4s #JordanPublicSector #FourDayWorkWeek #GovernmentReform #WorkLifeBalance

Return-to-office mandates have only partially moved the needle — in-office attendance across the Greater Toronto Area remains below pre-COVID levels despite growth in downtown office jobs. Even peak January days barely touched prior norms. The real shift? Flexibility. Employees are redefining 9–5, compressing office hours, working hybrid weeks, and shifting commute patterns.
