Designing a garage so it can become something else later is one of the smartest and least visible moves an owner can make. Flat plates, generous floor to floor heights, and a frame that is not locked to the ramps are what let a deck get converted instead of demolished when parking demand drops. Most owners only think about that flexibility years later, when it is far more expensive to add. Good to see it built in from day one.
