82 grams... That's the weight of the entire transmitter. DragonFly V 5G packs broadcast-grade live video into a unit small enough to fly, wear or hide. It is built for the places a full-size transmitter was never going to reach. • H.265 (HEVC) encoding up to 1080p50/59 • Bonded transmission across cellular + Wi-Fi • Public and private 5G networks • HD-SDI or HDMI camera inputs • Low power, built for battery deployments If it flies, drives or walks, DragonFly can put its camera on air: UAVs and drones, body-worn and covert deployments, helmet-mounted POV, robotics and remote vehicles. Need more resilience? The Dual-Modem Variant runs two cellular connections simultaneously alongside Wi-Fi — extra network diversity for congested or challenging environments. The ready-to-use solution just got better ✈️ A drone inspection that stops halfway is worse than not flying at all, so the latest Outflier flight app update for the DJI remote controller is all about making sure every mission finishes, safely. What's new: 🔋 Smarter battery safety: the drone now auto-returns home at 20%, so a flight never ends unexpectedly mid-mission on a low charge. 🛡️ Protected missions: if the app slips to the background during a flight, the inspection pauses and a clear banner reminds the pilot to keep it open. It also auto-pauses if the drone begins its own return-to-home or landing, so nothing gets cut short. 🧹 Cleaner data, automatically: uploads are de-duplicated, so what reaches our Outboard platform stays accurate. 🎥 Smoother captures: fixed gimbal pitch when resuming a mission, plus sharper HD storage estimates so you always know what a flight needs. Fewer aborted flights. Cleaner data. Reports you can trust. #SolarEnergy #Drones #SolarOM #PVInspection #Outflier

How accurately can a thermal drone measure temperature compared to a handheld tool? The DJI Matrice 4T's thermal camera scans entire rooftops, structures, or equipment lines in a single flight, flagging temperature variations that a point-by-point manual check would take hours to find. The result? Faster inspections, fewer missed hot spots, and safer access to hard-to-reach areas. Find out how thermal drone inspection compares to traditional handheld tools. 🎥 Airclip #djienterprise #matrice4t #thermaldrone #inspection

🌡️ 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 ≠ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦. 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 = 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐞. One thermal reading rarely tells the full story. The real value comes from comparing temperatures across thousands of components under the same operating conditions. That's how hidden faults, failing connections, and abnormal heat patterns become visible. 🚁 A drone captures the data. 🧠 AI finds the anomalies. ⚡ Engineers make better decisions. That's how we approach large scale inspections at Outflier. Thanks, DJI, for highlighting the power of thermal inspection. #ThermalImaging #DroneInspection #Solar #AssetManagement #AI #Outflier #DJIEnterprise

Came across this and had to share — a simple but telling test: handheld infrared thermometer vs drone thermal camera (DJI Matrice 4T), side by side, same readings. This is exactly the kind of validation that matters in our line of work. At Sylo Energy, when we flag a hotspot on a solar module or a joint on a transmission line during a thermal inspection, that reading needs to be trustworthy enough to act on — not just a rough estimate. Tests like this reinforce why we stick to calibrated equipment and IEC TS 62446-3 aligned methodology for every flight — precision isn't a claim, it's something that can be verified. Credit to the original creator for putting this to the test. 🙌 #DroneThermography #ThermalImaging #SolarInspection #IEC62446 #SolarEnergy #RenewableEnergy #SyloEnergy #Sylo

Ever wanted to fly a drone over MAVLink while your ROS visualization is running live in the same window? Most teams run two separate tools. One for control, one for data. Switching between them, losing context, patching things together. 𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗥𝗜 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Connect MAVLink and ROS at the same time. Switch your control source between them on the fly. Keep your full ROS topic visualization running regardless of how you're commanding the drone. 🎯 Mission planning, geofencing, configuration, calibration, manual control over MAVLink to your PX4 autopilot. ROS topic introspection, live plots, and message streams alongside it. Record and replay any mission to review every topic after landing. Connect multiple drones, manage each independently, across any platform. 🖥 This is the companion app Lampy and Speed01 fly with. One tool. Both worlds. #TRITRI #MAVLink #ROS #PX4 #DroneOps #UAS

One company, in one Shenzhen district, holds roughly three-quarters of the world's consumer drone market. DJI makes its own flight controllers, gimbals, transmission, propulsion and sensors. It's the most complete vertical integration I've seen in any consumer product. Head-on, it's very hard to beat. So the interesting question isn't "who competes with DJI." It's where DJI is not dominant. The answer: FPV (a parts culture, not sealed units), agriculture (where China leads the world, led by Guangzhou's XAG), and enterprise survey. The unusual part: the apex and the challengers all share one city. Four houses across the gaps: → https://lnkd.in/ddzEDKUb #drones #hardware #shenzhen

The Best UAV Batteries Don't Always Say "Yes." And That's a Good Thing. When people think of a great battery, they often think about flight time or capacity. But for mission-critical UAV operations, one of the most important features is knowing when not to deliver power. Here are three situations where a LiHi Smart Battery is designed to say "No": 1️⃣ Unsafe Cell Voltage If even one cell moves outside its safe operating range, the Battery Management System (BMS) intervenes to protect the battery pack and the aircraft before takeoff. 2️⃣ Abnormal Temperature High or low temperatures can impact battery performance and safety. Continuous thermal monitoring ensures the battery operates only within safe conditions. 3️⃣ Overcurrent or Short Circuit Unexpected current spikes can damage both the battery and the drone's electronics. An intelligent BMS detects these conditions instantly and disconnects power before they become a bigger problem. Every LiHi Smart Battery is built with intelligent protection that continuously monitors voltage, current, temperature, and cell health, helping operators fly with greater confidence and peace of mind. Because reliability isn't about powering every mission. It's about protecting the ones that matter most. What matters more in a UAV battery-longer flight time or the intelligence to prevent an unsafe mission before it begins? Share your thoughts in the comments. #uav #batteries #drones #oems #lihi

The UAV industry has made enormous technological progress over the past decade. Aircraft are more capable, sensors are better, and regulatory frameworks continue to evolve. But the next phase of growth may depend less on individual aircraft and more on how multiple operators can function within shared logistics systems. Platforms like N2 Infrastructure are designed around that idea — creating environments where different operators can participate in a coordinated network rather than operating entirely independently.
