Mitigate Pinholing in High-Performance Catheters

If you develop high-performance catheters, microscopic cavities known as pinholing can devastate your device's Rated Burst Pressure (RBP). This premature failure mode happens at a much lower pressure than a standard longitudinal tear, spiking standard deviation and compromising safety - especially in highly stressed, ultra-thin non-compliant materials like PET. To mitigate pinholing, engineering teams must strictly desiccate raw materials to control moisture, optimize extrusion parameters to reduce residual stress, and refine geometric transitions with gradual taper angles.
