Generating more electricity than you use is only half the story. What happens to that excess energy is what determines the true value of a solar investment. This commercial installation has been designed to do exactly that. With 266 Astro Energy 620W panels across the roof, the system is producing around 32% more energy than the customer currently consumes. Rather than designing to meet today's demand alone, the system has been built with future growth and long-term efficiency in mind. Supporting the array are three SunSynk inverters, providing the capacity needed to manage up to 150 kW of power generated from the roof. It is an infrastructure-first approach that ensures the system can perform reliably as energy demands evolve. But one of the most important aspects of this project is what comes next. Because the site is generating more electricity than it currently needs, battery storage will be added to capture that surplus energy. Instead of exporting valuable power back to the grid, the customer will be able to store it and use it overnight to power both the house and the barn.
