  • Loved helping plan this Bryan Young Professionals event! It was a beautiful evening to network with other BYP members and enjoy a drive-in movie!

✈️🎬 What an incredible evening at the Lincoln Airport! Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for our Summer Drive-In Movie Night, hosted by Bryan Young Professionals! Guests enjoyed local food trucks, complimentary popcorn and a special screening of the classic Top Gun (1986) in a setting that couldn't have been more fitting.   The event brought together young professionals, families, and community members for a memorable night of entertainment and connection. We are grateful for the amazing turnout and everyone who helped make this event such a success.   Stay tuned for more Bryan Young Professionals events — we look forward to seeing you again soon!

  • A couple weeks ago, BYP members spent a Saturday morning keeping cyclists fueled with water snacks and encouragement during Trail Trek, hosted by the Great Plains Trails Network. We even broke out the chalk for some colorful, trail-side motivation! Grateful to support an event that promotes outdoor recreation, invests in our local trails and helps build a healthier, more active community. #BryanYoungProfessionals #BYP #Volunteer #GiveBack #HealthierCommunity #TrailTrek

  • Several Bryan Young Professionals took the opportunity to build leadership skills during the 4-week Fundamental Four leadership course provided to employees last month. While the online course itself provided a strong foundation, our group took it a step further by hosting weekly lunch & learns — creating space to reflect, discuss and apply these concepts through live, virtual conversations with one another. Each week, we dove deeper into one of the four key leadership traits: 🔍 Self-Awareness  We had honest conversations about how we see ourselves vs. how others may experience us, and why authentic leadership starts with understanding both. 🧠 Learning Agility  Through shared stories and challenges, we explored how we respond to change, what we’ve learned from failure and how resilience helps us grow stronger as a team. 💬 Communication  Our discussions pushed us to think beyond just delivering a message — focusing on listening, being present and building stronger relationships across our organization. 🤝 Influence  We wrapped up by diving into influencing styles (logical, emotional, cooperative) and how recognizing each other’s preferences can make our teams more collaborative and effective. What made this experience so impactful was the opportunity to take time each week to learn from one another, ask thoughtful questions and share perspectives. It made the lessons stick in a much more meaningful way. Grateful for the BYP members who attended these sessions and committed to growing together and turning learning opportunities into action.  #YoungProfessionals #LeadershipDevelopment #ContinuousLearning #EmployeeExperience #GrowthTogether

  • Bryan Young Professionals proudly joined colleagues across the health system to commemorate Bryan Health's centennial by helping curate and seal a time capsule for the next 50 years. This capsule represents the people, stories, and values that define our organization today and will connect future generations to this moment in our history.

A century of care deserves to be remembered. Yesterday, we sealed a time capsule to commemorate the close of our 100th anniversary celebration that kicked off in 2025. We filled the time capsule with items that tell the story of who we are today, from advances in health care to moments that shaped our organization over the past 100 years. The capsule will remain sealed, until 2076! Thank you to our employees, patients and community members for being part of our first 100 years. We can't wait to see what the next 50 years hold. #BryanBeyond100

  • Our Young Professionals Group recently wrapped up a two-part Lunch & Learn series in partnership with Union Bank and Trust — and attendees walked away with practical insights we can actually use. This event was especially meaningful as it marked our first collaborative session across all three of our Bryan Young Professionals chapters, with teams from Grand Island and Kearney joining the Lincoln event virtually to learn and grow together.  Over two weeks, we focused on building smarter financial habits around savings, 401(k)s, HSAs and budgeting.  A few takeaways that resonated with our group: ✅ Understanding the differences between Traditional vs. Roth 401(k)s and IRAs— and how each option impacts your taxes now vs. later ✅ Recognizing that retirement planning isn’t one-size-fits-all — your income, goals, timeline and risk tolerance all play a role in how you contribute and invest ✅ Learning what a realistic budget actually looks like (hint: it’s not perfect!) ✅ Realizing that if your budgeting process feels frustrating, you’re probably doing it right ✅ Seeing how HSAs can serve double duty — helping with current healthcare expenses while also acting as a powerful long-term savings tool We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with UBT and bring these conversations to young professionals at Bryan! Investing in financial education is just one way we’re supporting growth—both personally and professionally. #YoungProfessionals #FinancialWellness #ProfessionalDevelopment #Benefits #RetirementPlanning

  • 🏀 March Madness at Bryan was a slam dunk! 🏀 Our Young Professionals Group recently hosted a March Madness bracket challenge for the entire organization, and the engagement was amazing! Colleagues from across Bryan joined in on the fun, friendly competition.  We’re excited to celebrate two winners this year: 🏆 Men’s Tournament Winner – Jeremy, Bryan Medical Center  🏆 Women’s Tournament Winner – Ken, Grand Island Regional Medical Center Both winners will receive four tickets to a UNL basketball game next year — a well‑earned reward after navigating all the madness! Events like this are a great reminder of how connection, camaraderie and a little competition can bring our teams together across locations. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success.  We’re already looking forward to next year’s brackets! 🎉 #YoungProfessionals #MarchMadness #EmployeeEngagement #CompanyCulture #TeamConnection #LifeAtBryan

  • Earlier this month, 12 members of Bryan Young Professionals had the opportunity to attend a senior leader luncheon with two of our senior leaders — Michael Johnston (MJ), Bryan Medical Center President and CEO, and Stephanie Boldt, system vice president of Ambulatory Services and Physician Partnership. The conversation did not disappoint. We had thoughtful dialogue around taking risks in your career journey, especially the importance of stepping outside your comfort zone when new opportunities arise. MJ and Stephanie shared how both formal and informal mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping their careers, reinforcing that growth often comes from relationships built along the way. We discussed what we think makes Bryan special compared to other organizations. MJ highlighted the strong sense of cohesion and collaboration across the organization — something that truly sets Bryan apart and creates an environment where people want to grow and stay. MJ also turned the conversation back to the group, asking about the value of BYP and what young professionals hope to gain from being part of the group. The feedback was energizing: 💡 Expanding professional networks  💡Building relationships with senior leaders  💡Learning about new and different opportunities across Bryan  💡Connecting with others at similar stages in their careers A big thank you to our senior leaders for their transparency, advice and willingness to engage with and invest in the next generation of leaders.  #BYP #YoungProfessionals #LeadershipDevelopment #Mentorship #CareerGrowth #LifeAtBryan
