Our AI strategy at LinkedIn is focused on agents, search and recommendation systems. Each solves a different part of the same problem: helping our members and customers discover and act on opportunity. Over this year, we’ve shared a lot of information on our search and agent technology, so I wanted to spotlight our generative recommenders — because it’s one of the more foundational shifts we’re making in recommendations. Historically, recommendations have been about getting a single interaction right. That approach took us a long way, but it also led to fragmented systems and made it harder to scale as our platform grew. Generative recommenders change that. It allows us to better recommend information - whether it’s an ad that’s surfaced or content on the Feed - to our members and increase the efficiency of these systems to help us scale as we continue to grow.
