EDC of Florida's Space Coast is pleased to share that today, at Farnborough Air Show, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the selection of Florida's Space Coast for the corporate expansion of Relativity Space. “Today’s announcement by Relativity to invest in Florida’s Space Coast reinforces the strength of our community’s unparalleled aerospace ecosystem,” said EDC President and CEO Lynda L. Weatherman. “The EDC worked closely with the company’s leadership, while ensuring our competitive proposal demonstrated the strength of our world-class workforce, supply chain, and culture of innovation. This investment is another testament to how companies from around the world are choosing Florida’s Space Coast.” Chair of the Brevard County Commission Thad Altman said, "Relativity’s investment is a powerful endorsement of Brevard County’s position as a global leader in aerospace manufacturing and innovation. "Rather than allowing redevelopment pressure to steadily consume industrial sites, the organization is pursuing a strategy focused on job creation, workforce development and industrial reinvestment along the Columbus Drive corridor. At the center of that effort is the proposed East Tampa Innovation Center, a project that would combine manufacturing incubation space, workforce training and business support services.
