Independent filmmakers (when accepted to a film festival) often invest in festivalspecific marketing such as publicists, press materials, social media ads, and other promotional strategies. This tendency is based on the assumption that such investment increases audience attendance and improves distribution outcomes. No empirical research, however, exists to confirm or challenge this assumption. This paper identifies and characterizes that gap, reviews literature across film festival studies, entertainment economics, and marketing research, and proposes a research framework for studying the relationship between festival marketing spend and attendance/acquisition outcomes.

As mediações sociais ambientadas na internet e suas implicações na construção da notícia em sites de caráter cultural são aqui investigadas tendo por referência comparativa a linguagem e os parâmetros editoriais típicos do jornalismo cultural impresso. Os sites Agenda BH (www.agendabh.com.br), Digestivo Cultural (www.digestivocultural.com) e Overmundo (www.overmundo.com.br) revelam processos diferenciados de mediação social na internet, o que se traduz em parâmetros editoriais razoavelmente distintos. O primeiro aproxima-se da perspectiva editorial de cadernos diários de cultura, o segundo inspira-se nas revistas culturais impressas e o terceiro experimenta formas de mediação social típicas da internet. Cada qual, a seu modo, revela aspectos do webjornalismo cultural contemporâneo. Modelos de comunicação; Hipermídia; Jornalismo Cultural A diversificação dos processos de mediação social interfere na natureza da informação cultural 4 que circula na internet, problematizando noções fundamentais para o jornalismo cultural, como recorte editorial e notícia. Within these virtual adventures, affective computing emerges through collaborative efforts, the elation of shared victories, and solidarity during moments of setback. These environments seamlessly blend individuality with collective experiences, forging unforgettable bonds that transcend digital boundaries. The educational-social approach of online team games fosters essential skills like communication, leadership, and effective group work, contributing to the development of conscious and collaborative citizens. The intervention unveils the outcomes of a focus group conducted among Italian youth workers in northern Italy exploring the use of online entertainment gaming to enhance street education initiatives. I giochi di squadra online vanno oltre il semplice intrattenimento digitale. Servono come piattaforme per l'apprendimento e la connessione sociale, dove giocatori provenienti da contesti sociali e background diversi collaborano per affrontare sfide, risolvere enigmi e raggiungere obiettivi condivisi. All'interno di queste avventure virtuali, il calcolo affettivo emerge attraverso gli sforzi di collaborazione, l'euforia delle vittorie condivise e la solidarietà nei momenti di difficoltà. Questi ambienti fondono perfettamente l'individualità con le esperienze collettive, creando legami indimenticabili che superano i confini digitali. L'approccio educativo-sociale dei giochi di squadra online favorisce competenze essenziali come la comunicazione, la leadership e il lavoro di gruppo efficace, contribuendo allo sviluppo di cittadini consapevoli e collaborativi. L'intervento presenta i risultati di un focus group condotto tra gli operatori giovanili italiani del Nord Italia che ha esplorato l'uso dei giochi di intrattenimento online per migliorare le iniziative di educazione di strada.

In public safety and military applications, Indications and Warnings are critical to identifying an important or actionable event, which is then keyed to alert a system and in-turn causes some desired action. Using Twitter data, Thor's Hammer provides an analytic that assists with natural disaster prediction, sensing, monitoring and mitigation by keying on Indications and Warnings. While an argument can be made that the communication of indicators through tweets has some degree of application to the natural disaster prediction and mitigation components, the strongest uses cases are sensing and monitoring. For the purposes of this project, "sensing" is defined as the generation of a tweet that warns of an observed event which can be acted upon in some manner by a subcomponent of the disaster monitoring system-This describes an event of interest in the Indications and Warnings chain.

Bu çalışma, Geç Dönem Çağatay Türkçesiyle kaleme alınmış Veli Han Töre İsyanı adlı metni eleştirel söylem çözümlemesi çerçevesinde incelemektedir. Eser, E. Denison Ross’un Three Turki Manuscripts from Kashghar (1906) adlı çalışmasında yer alan ve 1857 yılında Kaşgar merkezli gerçekleşen bir ayaklanmayı konu edinen manzum bir anlatıdır. Tarihsel olarak dini ve millî bir direniş hareketi olarak değerlendirilen bu isyan, söz konusu metinde fitne ve kargaşa unsuru olarak sunulmakta; bu yönüyle metin, karşı-propaganda niteliği taşımaktadır.

Çalışmada, metindeki dilsel tercihler, anlatı yapısı ve ideolojik çerçeve analiz edilerek siyasi söylemin nasıl inşa edildiği ortaya konulmaktadır. Fairclough’un üç boyutlu söylem modeli ile Van Dijk’ın sosyo-bilişsel yaklaşımı birlikte kullanılarak, metinde iktidar ile muhalif unsurlar arasında kurulan ideolojik karşıtlık incelenmiştir. Buna göre yönetici figürler adaletin ve ilahi düzenin temsilcileri olarak yüceltilirken, isyancılar olumsuz nitelemelerle marjinalleştirilmekte ve söylemsel düzeyde itibarsızlaştırılmaktadır.

Ayrıca çalışmada, dinî söylemin siyasi meşruiyet üretimindeki rolü değerlendirilmiş; adalet, iman ve fitne gibi kavramların ideolojik bir araç olarak nasıl işlev gördüğü gösterilmiştir. Metin, klasik kaside geleneğini sürdürmekle birlikte, bu geleneği ideolojik bir söylem üretim aracına dönüştürmesi bakımından dikkat çekmektedir.

Sonuç olarak Veli Han Töre İsyanı metni, yalnızca tarihsel bir olayın anlatımı değil, aynı zamanda iktidar lehine toplumsal gerçekliği yeniden inşa eden bir söylem pratiği olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu yönüyle çalışma, hem Türk dili tarihi hem de siyasi söylem incelemeleri açısından katkı sunmaktadır.

This study examines the text titled The Revolt of Wali Khan Tora, written in Late Chagatai Turkish, within the framework of critical discourse analysis. The work focuses on a poetic narrative included in E. Denison Ross’s Three Turki Manuscripts from Kashghar (1906), which recounts the 1857 uprising in Kashgar. Although the revolt is historically considered a religious and national resistance movement, the text presents it as a source of disorder and illegitimacy, thereby functioning as a counter-propaganda instrument.

The analysis explores how linguistic choices, narrative structures, and ideological framing contribute to the construction of political authority and legitimacy. By employing Fairclough’s three-dimensional model and Van Dijk’s socio-cognitive approach, the study demonstrates that the text establishes a clear ideological dichotomy between the ruling authority and the rebels. While the governing figures are represented as just, divinely sanctioned rulers, the insurgents are systematically marginalized through negative lexical and metaphorical constructions.

Furthermore, the study highlights the role of religious discourse in reinforcing political power, showing how concepts such as justice, faith, and heresy are strategically mobilized to shape collective perception. The text not only reflects the linguistic features of Late Chagatai Turkish but also reveals the transformation of classical poetic forms into tools of ideological production.

In conclusion, the Revolt of Wali Khan Tora is interpreted not merely as a historical account but as a discursive mechanism that reconstructs social reality in favor of state authority. This study contributes to both Turkic language history and political discourse studies by demonstrating how literary texts function as instruments of ideological control in 19th-century Central Asia.

Teaching programming language syntax across multiple languages presents a significant cognitive challenge for undergraduate students, compounded by the absence of inclusive pedagogical strategies for deaf learners. Reported here is an action research study conducted at Universidad Politécnica de Santa Rosa Jáuregui (UPSRJ), Querétaro, México, in which a didactic strategy mediated by an inclusive virtual world was co-designed and implemented with programming instructors and students at the TRAMVET Laboratory. Developed on the Sansar platform, the virtual environment integrates Mexican Sign Language (LSM) representations through three-dimensional avatar animations, Universal Design for Learning principles in spatial and iconographic organization, and an immersive syntax-differentiation activity that provides immediate visual feedback. Grounded in the sociocritical paradigm and action research methodology, the investigation followed iterative cycles of diagnosis, planning, action, observation, and reflection. Combining multimodal affordances of 3D immersive digital environments with deliberately inclusive spatial design strengthens students' capacity to distinguish syntactic structures across Python, Java, C, and JavaScript, while simultaneously reducing communicative barriers for deaf participants. Contributing an empirically grounded didactic model, this paper identifies design principles transferable to comparable institutional contexts.

A key front for ethical questions in artificial intelligence, and computer science more generally, is teaching students how to engage with the questions they will face in their professional careers based on the tools and technologies we teach them.  In past work (and current teaching) we have advocated for the use of science fiction as an appropriate tool which enables AI researchers to engage students and the public on the current state and potential impacts of AI. We present teaching suggestions for E.M. Forster&#39;s 1909 story, &quot;The Machine Stops,&quot; to teach topics in computer ethics.  In particular, we use the story to examine ethical issues related to being constantly available for remote contact, physically isolated, and dependent on a machine --- all without mentioning computer games or other media to which students have strong emotional associations. This paper examines reader agency in interactive fiction (IF) from 1976 to 2025 through comparative close readings of seven paradigmatic works: Colossal Cave Adventure, Spider and Web, Everybody Dies, With Those We Love Alive, A Vast Lonely Desert, Do Not Take This Cat Home, and How To Walk Out The Door. Drawing on reader-response theory (Iser, Eco) and ergodic literature (Aarseth), it introduces "liminal narrative space" as the threshold where authorial design meets reader intervention. Findings reveal that agency relocates. From procedural mastery to epistemic, affective, embodied, and ethical forms, it expands the space where meaning is co-constructed, without completely ceding narrative control to readers, while creating a strong illusion of doing so. IF, thus drastically improves the scope of a narrative and the amount of responsibility of the reader in the meaning-making process. However, the responsibility is still well within authored constraints, with space for slight negotiations based on different individual pieces of IF.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att se hur Nordiska Afrikainstitutet använder sig av sociala medier och hur de tillämpar den information som organisationen kommunicerat via de sociala medierna. Teoretisk ram: Uppsatsen utgår ifrån teorier som ger överblick i hur traditionella och moderna kommunikationsredskap fungerar. Därutöver har ett analytiskt instrument använts som kartlägger kommunikationsprocesser i organisationer samt hur dessa tar tillvara på ny kunskap. Den teoretiska referensram består av följande teorier: Media Richness modellen samt de två artiklarna On using organizational knowledge capabilities to assist organizational learning samt Virtual worlds as platforms for communities of pratices från antologin Knowledge management and organizational learning. Metod: Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ metod. Det empiriska materialet har samlats in genom respondentintervjuer, dessa bestod av telefonintervjuer samt epostkorrespondens. För att urskilja respondenterna har ett snöbollsurval använts. Intervjuerna har därefter analyserats utifrån den teoretiska referensramen. Resultat: Resultatet av undersökningen visar att både traditionella och sociala medier används vid institutet där de traditionella medierna anses trovärdiga men inte alltid flexibla. De sociala medier som används är Facebook, Twitter och institutets egna forum kallat NAI-forum. Undersökningen visar att de sociala medierna är en användbar kanal för nå ut till flertalet användare på ett informellt sätt. Tendenser visar att sociala medier underlättat kommunikationen för institutet då de lättare kan nå en större målgrupp och föra en dialog med dessa. Det framkom också att institutet diskuterar och kommenterar förfrågningar som görs via de sociala medierna och tar tillvara på den information som förvärvas genom de sociala medierna. Undersökningen visade också att det finns en stor potential med att använda sociala medier och respondenterna tror att inom en snar framtid kommer de också att spela en allt viktigare roll i NAI:s kommunikationsarbete.

An automatic felt earthquake alert and report system, B-FEARS, was developed around the Belgian seismic network allowing seismologists to provide the authorities, the media and the public with information on local felt earthquakes a few minutes after their occurrence. This system is based on the analysis of the connection flow on the website of the Royal Observatory of Belgium (ROB) in parallel to an automatic control of a web macroseismic inquiry based on the "Did you feel it?" of the U.S. Geological Survey , available on the ROB website since 2002. This information is neither as precise nor as reliable as the one supplied by the analysis of seismic signals, but is efficient thanks to the great population density in Belgium. The alert is supplemented by the analysis of the seismic signals from seven real time seismic stations appearing on the website with a delay of more or less ten minutes. The alert and report system was successfully tested and improved during the earthquake sequence that started in the southwest of Brussels on 12 July 2008. B-FEARS is now running continuously and warns seismologists in the minutes after the occurrence of a felt earthquake.

This paper, written in German, examines the semantic problems involved in designing knowledge-based hypertexts and proposes a method for the analysis of textual corpora oriented toward information retrieval, contextual exploration, comparison of sources, and assisted text generation. The paper argues that a hypertext system should not be reduced to a simple indexing device, but should instead be conceived as a semantic network capable of identifying, classifying, and relating relevant information within a given knowledge domain. Its approach is explicitly semiotic and frame-based. At the thematic level, the paper distinguishes between a topical component, concerned with what a document is about, and a discursive component, concerned with the contextual and pragmatic conditions under which information is asserted, qualified, or contrasted. This allows content analysis to move beyond lexical description toward a structured representation of referential configurations, enunciative positions, and contextual variation. The core analytical units are thematic scripts, which function as formal frames for representing recurrent configurations of actions, actors, sectors, places, dates, phases, motivations, consequences, and relations of competition, complementarity, or chronology. These scripts are said to be structurally equivalent to conceptual graphs in the sense of Sowa, which provide both a visual and formal representation of knowledge. Through operations such as generalization, specialization, inheritance, recursive definition, projection/pattern matching, condensation, and expansion, the system can classify information, compare partially divergent descriptions, derive contextual background, and support the generation of organized “textual” responses. The paper thus outlines a model for building knowledge-based systems able to analyze open textual corpora, represent domain knowledge in graph form, compare heterogeneous information sources, and dynamically assemble contextually relevant information for users. In the historical framing you provided, this work was produced during 1990–1994 within a joint scientific cooperation between the former IBM Paris Research Center at Place Vendôme (closed in 1992) and the former Centre de Recherche en Ingénierie Multilingue (CRIM) at Inalco.

This article discusses train hijackings in the Netherlands in the 1970s. It aims to determine the vulnerability of rail transport to terrorist attacks and, at the same time, to examine the radicalisation mechanism of diasporic minorities. The author recognises that passenger and goods trains are convenient targets for terrorists.

This volume analyses the most recent books on comprehensive issues in film art, held by the world's major libraries and published between 2022 and 2025. Thus, the books commissioned by the Library of Congress, the British Library, Library and Archives Canada, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Det Kongelige Bibliotek, Biblioteca Nacional de España and the National Library of Japan are the main base selected for presentation and analysis. The analyses and descriptions were produced by the deep search algorithm of the ChatGPT 5.4 pro version.

Library and information professionals are faced with the challenge of acquiring a new skill which has been brought about by the rapid and dynamic development of the Internet in recent years, that of webpage design. Librarians need to have an understanding of basic concepts involved in webpage design but more importantly of the principles which constitute an accessible and effective website. This presentation will deal with the "art" of creating useable and accessible websites and provide pointers on some of the problems and pitfalls in website design. Additionally we will share useful tips and advises on how to create or improve a website that will attract and hold the attention of its users. Finally the last part of the presentation will tackle the issue of accessible websites for visually impaired and blind people.

There is a lack of studies in Brazil concerning Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that offer courses in Literary Journalism. This research was conducted through a literature review, database definition (e-MEC), data collection, investigation of HEIs, contact with course directors and professionals involved, using bibliographic research and content analysis as methods. The obtained result, 42, indicates that the country leads in this teaching field.

Em recente pesquisa revelamos 42 instituições de ensino superior do Brasil com cursos de Comunicação / Jornalismo que oferecem disciplinas de Jornalismo Literário com nomes afins e verificamos que cinco das seis disciplinas analisadas correspondem ao campo de estudos de jornalismo literário. Nesse artigo apresentamos os refernciais teóricos e práticos mais utilizados nos planos de ensino em cada uma destas universidades. Tendo como resultado principal que, dos 26 títulos referenciados, cinco obras teóricas e/ou práticas são pilares no campo de estudos do Jornalismo Literário, perfazendo 17,8% do total. Desta forma, se levarmos em conta as três obras (BOYNTON, 2005; LIMA, 2004; WOLFE, 2005) teremos 12,5% do corpus teórico relacionado diretamente ao campo de estudos do Jornalismo Literárioo que mostra uma boa aproximação das disciplinas com nomes afins ao campo.

¿Qué radio queremos en la Argentina? Es un interrogante que, en este momento, ni empresarios ni el estado mismo están en condiciones de responder. La vertiginosidad de los cambios que se están produciendo en los países "centrales" donde la radio experimenta transformaciones, dada la ventaja de las actuales Tics, pasa por encima a las aspiraciones locales. Pero, además, el Estado debe diseñar una política de me-dios… Mientras tanto, en algunos de esos países (Europa y EE.UU.) están dando pasos lentos en algunos aspectos, sobre todo en lo que respecta a los canales de distribución. En Alemania aún no deciden dar el paso definitivo hacia lo digital, aunque hay algunas prácticas, pero sin un plan conjunto de acción y sin redefinir el panorama radiofónico en ese país. Algunas emisoras ya tienen funcionando a pleno el sistema IA ( 3 ) de ChatGPT ( 4 ) que puede reemplazar a un conductor de radio. Veíamos que la radio sería colonizada por la IA, tarde o temprano. Más de 50 millones de alemanes la sintonizan todos los días sin que aún el gobierno germano defina un sistema de distribución que imperará en el futuro, si FM o DAB+ ( ) No es de extrañar, en España, conviven los tres sistemas, AM, FM y DAB+, claro a las transmisiones también puedes verlas y escucharlas por internet, mientras se prepara paulatinamente la mudanza hacia los sistemas digitales. 3 IA. Inteligencia Artificial. 4 ChatGPT. Generative Pre-trained Transformer. 5 DAB. Digital Audio Broadcasting Lo cierto es que, en la actualidad, estamos ante una encrucijada respecto del futuro de nuestra radio. Con esta realidad no podemos aún hablar de radio digital, de radio con Inteligencia Artificial, Radio on demand, Radio multiplataforma. Etc. Si bien las apariencias engañan, no parece que la radio argentina apueste por el oyente, o se lance a la captación de nuevos públicos con la producción de contenidos más atractivos… Diferenciarse es la tarea, comunicar esas diferencias, pero con una mirada puesta en el futuro de este medio. Sin embargo, entiendo que no aparece en el horizonte la urgencia por las transformaciones, todos se toman su tiempo y evidentemente no existe la necesidad de ir a la par de lo que sucede en el mundo desarrollado, menos cuando no contamos con todas las herramientas. Una aparente contradicción salta a la vista al hablar de la naturaleza de los medios de comunicación privados: por un lado, se sostiene que se trata de organizaciones que tienen por objeto la obtención de rendimientos económicos; por el otro, hay quienes ven en ellos a organismos que, para transmitir información y entretenimiento, hacen uso de un espacio público de comunicación abierto, en principio, para todos. La verdad es que al ejercer su derecho a la libertad de expresión, los medios lo hacen en condiciones de ventaja sobre los individuos en la sociedad. Se trata entonces de instituciones marcadas por una doble Resulta por demás evidente que los medios de comunicación privados son un negocio que busca dar ganancias a sus dueños. En condiciones de mercado, éstos compiten por el desarrollo de nuevos productos y tecnologías, por reducir costos, por expandirse y, por aumentar su participación en el mercado. La pregunta es si los medios privados son sólo eso, un negocio, o representan algo más. Para intentar una respuesta, se puede tomar como punto de partida un ejemplo sencillo. Si una empresa dedicada a la producción de algún artículo por cualquier razón posible empieza a funcionar como un auténtico monopolio, fijando precios y distribución, sea cual fuere la posición personal con respecto a la validez o no de los monopolios, lo que queda claro es que se trataría de un problema de tipo económico. En cambio, si una sola corporación gigantesca controlara y monopolizara uno o más tipos de medios de comunicación, ¿se trataría también únicamente de un problema de tipo económico? A continuación se explican las razones de una respuesta negativa a tal pregunta. Los medios de comunicación privados si bien son un negocio que legítimamente debe producir ganancias a sus dueños, resultan ser al mismo tiempo mucho más que eso. La razón estriba en que, a diferencia de cualquier otro tipo de negocio, los medios de comunicación no sólo están vinculados a la esfera económica, sino que al mismo tiempo son un componente de primer orden del espacio público; ese territorio en el cual se intercambian ideas, se transmite la información y se discuten idealmente los más diversos puntos de vista. 1 Esa doble naturaleza de los medios privados los obliga a buscar la conciliación, en beneficio de la sociedad abierta, de dos tipos de lógica que parecen irreconciliables a primera vista: la del mercado y la del interés público. Fue el británico John Stuart Mill quien, al defender la libertad de prensa y de expresión, sintetizó las ideas liberales en relación con el papel de la prensa -y los medios en generalen la vida pública. 2 Para J.S. There is no consensus regarding a common set of metrics for robot task complexity in associated human-robot interactions. This paper is an attempt to address this issue by proposing a new metric so that the educational potential when using robots can be further developed. Tasks in which students in Japan and UK interact in a 3D virtual space to collaboratively program robots to navigate mazes have resulted in quantitative data of immersion, circuit task complexity and robot task complexity. The data has subsequently been collated to create a proposed new metric for tasks involving robots, which we have termed task fidelity. The paper proposes that task fidelity is a quantitative measure of a set robot task in relation to a learner&#39;s solution. By quantifying task fidelity educators utilising robots in schools and in higher education will be able to provide tasks commensurate with the expected successful outcomes achieved by the learners

A tanulmány a GPT-5.4 mesterséges intelligencia modell képességeit és alkalmazhatóságát vizsgálja a professzionális tudásmunka kontextusában. A generatív AI fejlődése az elmúlt években elmozdult a pusztán szövegalkotó rendszerektől a komplex, több lépéses feladatok végrehajtására képes, eszközökkel integrált megoldások irányába. A GPT-5.4 ezen új generáció képviselője, amely fejlett érvelési képességekkel, ügynöki működéssel, multimodális (szöveges, vizuális és dokumentumalapú) feldolgozással, valamint hosszú kontextus kezelésével támogatja a valós munkafolyamatokat.
A kutatás a modell teljesítményét több benchmark segítségével elemzi, különös tekintettel a tudásalapú munkavégzésre, programozási feladatokra, számítógépes környezetek használatára, eszközintegrációra és tudományos problémamegoldásra. Az eredmények azt mutatják, hogy a GPT-5.4 jelentős előrelépést ért el a korábbi modellekhez képest, különösen a valós munkafolyamatok modellezésében (GDPval), a digitális felületek kezelésében (OSWorld), valamint a komplex információkeresési és eszközhasználati feladatokban (BrowseComp, Toolathlon).
A vizsgálat rámutat arra, hogy a GPT-5.4 nem csupán hatékonyabb szövegfeldolgozó eszköz, hanem egy olyan általános célú, integrált rendszer, amely képes támogatni a dokumentumkészítést, adatfeldolgozást, döntéselőkészítést és több lépésből álló szakmai munkafolyamatokat. A modell fejlődése azt jelzi, hogy a generatív mesterséges intelligencia egyre inkább a mindennapi tudásmunka infrastruktúrájának részévé válik, jelentős hatással a termelékenységre, az innovációra és a digitális kompetenciák alakulására.

ABSTRACT This Article argues that the proliferation of gated communities—home to approximately 26 million Americans—represents a dangerous privatization of civic life, enabled by neoliberal ideology and requiring a robust response through public law. These enclaves, governed by Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs) and restrictive covenants (CC&Rs), are not merely private choices but a form of “secession of the successful” that fragments municipalities, exacerbates inequality, and undermines the public forums essential for democratic engagement. The Article traces the intellectual and policy history of this phenomenon, from its roots in Lockean property theory and Chicago School economics to its acceleration through state-enabled privatization. It then demonstrates that this private governance model fails on its own terms, creating “anticommons” gridlock and democratic deficits rather than resolving collective action problems. In response, the Article moves beyond critique to outline a concrete legal toolkit for reclaiming the commons. It contends that state and local governments possess ample constitutional authority—through zoning, the public forum doctrine, the public trust doctrine, and eminent domain—to regulate, limit, and even roll back the encroachment of gated communities. The Article concludes that reasserting the primacy of public law over private contract is not just a policy option but a constitutional imperative for preserving the integrated public space upon which democracy depends.

In the article “Angkatan Puisi Esai: A Sui Generis Literary Generation in Indonesia,” Berthold Damshäuser offers a reflective and historical examination of the puisi esai (essay poetry) movement in contemporary Indonesian literature. Drawing on his long engagement as editor of the Indonesian literary journal Jurnal Sajak, Damshäuser traces the emergence of essay poetry since 2012, its initial reception, and its evolving significance within Indonesia’s literary landscape. He situates the genre not merely as a stylistic innovation but as the foundation for what has come to be perceived — and termed by some writers — as a distinct literary generation (Angkatan Puisi Esai). The article addresses both the controversies and enthusiasm surrounding the form, including early skepticism about its aesthetic value and later debates over its legitimacy as a generator of literary identity and movement. Damshäuser emphasizes the sui generis nature of this phenomenon: an entire generation named after a genre that, by definition, blurs boundaries between poetic and essayistic expression. The piece speaks to broader questions of genre classification, cultural translatability, and the dynamics of literary evolution in Indonesia.

Cet article s’intéresse aux conditions de travail et d’emploi qui peuvent être la source d’un mal-être exprimé par des professionnels de l’information. De nombreuses recherches se sont déjà penchées sur l’intensification du travail des journalistes (Cohen, 2019), pouvant mener à des situations d’épuisement professionnel, voire de burn-out (Lamoureux, 2021). Cet article part du constat que les témoignages de mal-être se multiplient dans ce mé-
tier, et propose de creuser cette question en l’adressant spécifiquement à des jeunes journalistes, à l’aube de leur insertion professionnelle. Il compile des données qualitatives extraites de plus de 140 entretiens semi-directifs menés, entre 2022 et 2025, avec des journalistes belges et français de
moins de 30 ans. Au sein de cet échantillon, les jeunes journalistes assument presque unanimement être très attentifs au risque d’épuisement, être soumis à un stress chronique et, pour certains, avoir vécu un burn-out. Si les journalistes interrogés sont prompts à parler des « sacrifices » néces-
saires à leur insertion professionnelle dans leur secteur, nous questionnerons leurs limites de leur engagement. Nous nous intéresserons à la manière dont ces jeunes journalistes parlent de leurs conditions de travail et d’emploi et aux impacts néfastes qu’ils estiment qu’elles font peser sur

This paper examines how social media are influencing the core journalistic value of verification. Through the discipline of verification, the journalist establishes jurisdiction over the ability to objectively parse reality to claim a special kind of authority and status. Social media question the individualistic, top-down ideology of traditional journalism. The paper considers journalism practices as a set of literacies, drawing on the theoretical framework of new literacies to examine the shift from a focus on individual intelligence, where expertise and authority are located in individuals and institutions, to a focus on collective intelligence where expertise and authority are distributed and networked. It explores how news organizations are negotiating the tensions inherent in a transition to a digital, networked media environment, considering how journalism is evolving into a tentative and iterative process where contested accounts are examined and evaluated in public in real-time.

Die Musikausbildung an der Hochschule fordert - Ausnahmen bestatigen die Regel - nicht gerade den Umgang mit Neuer (Musik-)Technologie. Im Gegenteil: Zum Teil werden Ressentiments dem Neuen gegenuber gehegt, wo digitales Musikinstrumentarium und das traditionelle Instrumentarium gegeneinander unversohnlich aufgerechnet werden, anstatt auf das Komplementare zwischen ihnen abzuheben. Es stellt sich die Frage, ob eine solche Distanz vertretbar ist, ob also Digitaltechnologie eher ein Randphanomen darstellt, das in der Musikausbildung nichts zu suchen hat oder nur graduell zu vertreten ist, oder ob die Musikausbildung nicht der Reformierung bedarf und so den neuen „Instrumenten“ sich umfassend offnen sollte, damit ein zeitgemaser Unterricht geleistet werden kann. Und die Uberschrift signalisiert, dass ein zeitgemaser Musikunterricht und eine zeitgemase Musikausbildung in der Tat nicht in jedem Falle verortet werden. Reality and fiction are the two sides of a single coin whose stamp in
contemporary society begins to vanish because of the post-truth aesthetics’ erosion and the results of the transmedialization and media hybridization processes. This oscillation between truthful and fake finds its obvious manifestations in the audiovisual medium, while the most proliferate and profitable due to the platforms’ explosion. This essay aims to observe the depicted phenomenon in three-type production and its different adaptations to another media or modalities: those in whose AI employ has left a print in the final creation type and its truth aesthetic, the oral creations such as podcast that gave life to a whole popular genre that overwhelms television and streaming and those affected by gamification processes derived from videogame’s influence.

As a medium older and more established than the digital game, film has certainly played a role in documenting its trajectories. Through audiovisual essays and narratives we can be introduced to game artifacts alongside the contexts of their creation, distribution and reception. The older medium avoids a problem of abandonware and emulation, whereby games are preserved but are devoid of the temporal specificity and popular excitement often so important to their meaning. Yet there are always problems with such documentation; film, with its limited capacity for immersion, can only represent and relate narratives about gaming. As such, it alienates viewers from the content and mechanics of such games, relegating them to the position of a passive viewer. Jóvenes que pertenecen a una subcultura, moda y estilo de vida, adquiridos desde el archipiélago nipón, que basa su existencia en las costumbres de las mujeres del periodo rococó francés del siglo xviii.
