✨ Lange Nacht der Forschung in Wiener Neustadt 🌌🚀 Brimatech Services GmbH war bei der Langen Nacht der Forschung in Wiener Neustadt als österreichischer Technology Broker der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation ESA vertreten. Ein besonderes Highlight war unser Malwettbewerb für Kinder zum Thema Weltraum 🚀. Das Interesse war riesig: Über 150 Kinder haben teilgenommen und mit unglaublich kreativen, farbenfrohen und beeindruckenden Bildern gezeigt, wie sie sich das Weltall, Raumfahrt und die Zukunft im All vorstellen. Wir waren begeistert, wie viel Wissen und Neugier viele Kinder bereits mitgebracht haben — und wie viele von ihnen sich vorstellen können, später einmal in diesem spannenden Bereich zu arbeiten. Besonders schön war auch zu sehen, wie viele Mädchen mit Begeisterung dabei waren. Genau diese frühe Neugier und Vielfalt brauchen Wissenschaft, Technologie und Raumfahrt für die Zukunft. 🛰️ #ENC2026 – Vienna Last week, two of our colleagues had the opportunity to attend the European Navigation Conference (ENC) 2026 in Vienna – one of Europe’s leading events for the positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) community. Over three days, experts from industry, academia and public institutions came together to discuss the latest developments in #GNSS, resilient navigation and future technologies such as multi-sensor fusion and AI-enhanced navigation. Susanne Katzler-Fuchs served as Co-Chair and joined the panel discussion alongside representatives from ESA, the European Commission, ESPI and the UK PNT Office. 🔋 SafeLiBatt Webinar – Safety & Risk Assessment of 1st and 2nd Life Lithium-Ion Batteries The rapid growth of electric vehicles will generate a large volume of end-of-life lithium-ion batteries — creating a significant secondary market for second-life applications. While second-life LIBs offer clear environmental and economic benefits, they also introduce complex safety challenges. Current standards are largely designed for first-life batteries and do not fully reflect the heterogeneous history, ageing behaviour and failure characteristics of repurposed cells and packs. 🌱✈️ Meilenstein im Projekt FALCON: Die ersten Bauteile sind da! Im Rahmen des Förderprogramms „Mobilität 2023 – Kreislaufwirtschaft“ arbeiten wir im Projekt FALCON an der Entwicklung biologisch abbaubarer Verbundwerkstoffe für die Luftfahrt. Jetzt ist ein wichtiger Schritt geschafft: Die ersten Bauteile für die Flugzeuginnenausstattung wurden im Spritzgussverfahren produziert – aus Hanffasern und PLA (Polylactid). 🎯 Unser Ziel: Nachhaltige Biofaserverbundwerkstoffe entwickeln, Stoffkreisläufe schließen und Kreislaufwirtschaft in der Luftfahrt aktiv umsetzen. Hanf dient dabei als regionale, nachwachsende Faserquelle, PLA als biobasierte Matrix. Von der Dualnutzung der Pflanze über energie- und ressourceneffiziente Produktion bis hin zu Recycling- und Rückgewinnungsstrategien denken wir den gesamten Lebenszyklus mit. Ein großer Dank an unser starkes Konsortium ALPEX Technologies GmbH, Diamond Aircraft, Tiroler Berghanf und Universität Innsbruck gemeinsam bringen wir nachhaltige Materialien in die Mobilität von morgen.

Today we held the workshop “Preparation of an Austrian GNSS Roadmap”, hosted by the Austrian Association for Navigation (OVN) and Brimatech Services GmbH. Huge thanks to everyone who joined and contributed with real substance — from research and technology to applications, public services, and industry needs. What stood out most was the collaborative energy: different disciplines, same goal — making Austria a stronger, more connected #GNSS player in Europe.
