At Milano Unica, leading Italian textile manufacturers Maglificio Maggia and Destro fabrics shared how they develop premium textiles blending TENCEL™ fibers with mechanically recycled natural fibers. The conversations also highlight the potential of TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 which opens a new range of fabrics for woven applications with an authentic, irregular texture while retaining the sustainability benefits of TENCEL™ Lyocell standard fibers. Listen to Giovanna Maggia, Board Director at Maglificio Maggia, and alberto ottocento, Sales Manager at Destro Fabrics, and discover how TENCEL™ fiber solutions are helping shape the future of premium textiles. From textile waste to a wardrobe staple: Circ® launches their first denim collection with H&M featuring TENCEL™ | Circ® with REFIBRA™ technology, arriving H&M’s standard men's denim assortment. Every garment is made with TENCEL™ Limited Edition Lyocell fibers containing 30% Circ® pulp, recovered from textile waste and fed into our lyocell production process alongside wood from certified and controlled sources. The jeans come in two styles and are now available across Europe, North America and the Middle East. "This collaboration highlights how bringing together players across the textile supply chain results in circular garments available to consumers," says Caroline Ledl, Senior Director Product Operations at Lenzing Group. "We're proud to work with pioneers like Circ®, and we remain committed to exploring collaborations that bring new TENCEL™ fibers to market through pilot-scale production.” The collection is available now on hm.com and in select H&M stores across launch markets. 30 years of comfort with TENCEL™ Modal: "From the moment it launched, we knew we had found something special.” That's how Eberjey co-founder Ali Mejia describes the Gisele pajama – the first product the brand ever made with TENCEL™ Modal fibers, and the one that set the benchmark for everything that followed. TENCEL™ Modal fibers support long-lasting softness, helping to retain the softness of fabrics even after repeated washing. As the brand marks its 30th anniversary in 2026, we spoke with founders Ali Mejia and Mariela Rovito about what led them to TENCEL™ Modal fibers in the first place and how that material decision shaped a brand built to last. Can regenerated cellulosic fibers biodegrade like natural cellulose – across soil, freshwater, and marine environments worldwide? A new independent study by HYDRA Marine Sciences investigated how the biodegradation of regenerated cellulosic fibers compares to natural cellulose across 177 specific scenarios – from soil and freshwater to marine systems worldwide – the findings are clear: The results show that, under the same environmental conditions, regenerated cellulosic fibers such as lyocell, modal and viscose demonstrate biodegradation behavior comparable to natural cellulose. At the same time, the study highlights that biodegradation rates depend strongly on environmental factors such as temperature, moisture and nutrient availability. Swipe for key insights and discover the benefits of TENCEL™ fibers here: https://lnkd.in/dN7BeSRM *LENZING™ Lyocell and Modal standard fibers are certified by TÜV AUSTRIA as biodegradable in soil, freshwater and marine environments, and compostable under home and industrial conditions.

As supply chains become increasingly complex, the ability to track and verify materials is more important than ever. By expanding its innovative fiber identification technology across TENCEL™ branded fibers, we are helping to bring greater visibility, trust, and accountability to every step of the value chain. Our fiber identification technology provides physical identification of fiber origin at different stages of textile products such as the fabric and garment level. You can verify the presence of TENCEL™ fibers in your fabric samples and unlock a range of benefits including trademark usage, hangtags and more: https://lnkd.in/etQFdFEe #TENCEL

Traceability in practice: During last week’s Future Fabrics Expo, Lenzing’s Head of Global Sustainability Krishna Manda (he/him) hit the stage to discuss textile traceability program TextileGenesis. At our parent company Lenzing Group, we have been working with the blockchain-inspired traceability platform Textile Genesis™ since 2020, which provides a holistic overview of a garment across the entire textile value chain for customers, partners, and consumers – from fiber production to the manufacturing facilities where they are made. This improves credibility and provides source of origin with transparency and reduced risks to brands and retailers. #TENCEL
Future Fabrics Expo is a wrap. 🧶 Two days on the floor in Brussels with buzzing conversations about traceability, plenty of partners stopping by our lounge, and exciting new connections. The highlight for us was hosting our Traceability in Practice session, an event built around the core idea of getting the people who actually run traceability programs in one room, on and off stage. Thank you to our speakers Krishna Manda (he/him), Carla Fiorucci, Sumit Dargad, JULIE PARISET, and Ellie Hardy for bringing their experience into the room, and to the Future Fabrics Expo team for hosting us. #FutureFabricsExpo #TextileGenesis #Traceability
