Harness the power of 2-phase thermodynamics to create the cooling systems of tomorrow. Join +3000 on boarded engineers.

About us

Today cooling is becoming the limiting factor for implementation of next-gen electronic components across markets such as E-mobility, Energy and Computing - all three of which are critical to delivering our sustainable future. Therefore resolving the need for high performance, ultra reliable and sustainable cooling systems is a must. Calyos' mission is to provide viable, passive liquid cooling systems to meet the cooling needs of high performance electronic components. Calyos' foundation is built on a long history in the space business with both the European Space Agency and Euro Heat Pipes - the latter of which commercialised the same technology for the space business. In space the challenge was to transport the heat to a larger surface of exchange - passively and reliably. Today the same is true, as electronics shrink in size and increase in heat density, this heat load must be effectively absorbed (in our case by vaporisation) and transported to a larger surface where it can be effectively dissipated. We help engineers design viable two-phase, passive cooling systems that we produce to cool components such as power electronics, processors, batteries, etc. Calyos' systems utilise technologies such as Loop Heat Pipes, Pulsating Heat Pipes, and Micro-Channel Heat Pipes - although we don't stop there, as innovators in our space we are constantly developing and patenting new technologies to solve new problems, from E-motors to Fuel Cells. If you are new to two-phase cooling, register to a our bi-weekly newsletter to learn more and gain valuable insight to the benefits of adopting two-phase cooling systems. 👇

  • Discover the AI genAIRation | A thermal design that enables AI servers to operate everywhAIR. Many enterprises, edge-cloud operators, and air-cooled data centers face the same challenge: - They need more AI computing capabilities. - But they cannot justify a complete overhaul of their thermal infrastructure. Passive Two-Phase Direct-to-Chip-to-air in-server cooling is a technology for high-performance AI servers to operate within existing air-cooled infrastructures. This means: - No need for major thermal infrastructure upgrades. - Lower cooling energy consumption compared to traditional air-cooled servers - Faster AI deployment in existing facilities Follow Calyos' tech series to explore how we help to remove thermal barriers to AI adoption. And enable AI for everyone. https://lnkd.in/eeVNHYvh

This is how cooling experts support each other during hot weather days . Thank you to our partner Noctua for the great gifts to the Calyos team. Silent, high-performance fans that create the perfect environment for deep focus and engineering excellence. Cooling that you almost forget is there. In the meantime, we hope you don’t take the temperatures too personally — at least not as much as we do 😉

What do the saxophone and this 2-phase cooling system for a PC case have in common? (Beyond their Belgian background?) They both actually work with air. When you play the saxophone, you can blow air in two different ways: - using your lungs - using your lungs + your diaphragm Naturally, we’re used to blow air with our lungs. But when we add our diaphragmatic support, it provides more power, longer performance, and better sound quality. It’s the same for this PC case. Electronics are traditionally cooled with fans that push air. But when you add two-phase cooling, it allows your equipment to operate longer, achieve higher cooling efficiency and remove all moving parts. However, there is an important element that differentiates these two systems: One has been designed to be silent, while the other has been designed to make sound ;) So, ready to play? #Calyos #TwoPhaseCooling #PC #HybridAirLiquidCooling #Thermal #Passive

  • We do not fight heat. We work with it. We’ve put together practical guidelines for engineers and system integrators working on edge AI platforms and facing thermal challenges. Read full article here: https://lnkd.in/ePAjXdcg The problem is clear: Modern semiconductors (like the NVIDIA Jetson family) are pushing thermal limits. At the same time, SWaP constraints are getting tighter. This is a cooling + integration problem. Our answer to this challenge is simple: Bring the heat to the cold. Not the cold to the heat. This shift unlocks: • Higher reliability (no moving parts) • Silent operation • Better integration in constrained environments • Scalable cooling for next-gen AI workloads Interested? This is our innovation equation: we bring expertise in two-phase cooling, and our partners bring their deep application knowledge. As a technical team of 22 members that has been developing Two-Phase cooling for more than 10 years, we help industrial leaders adopt their modern and next-generation electronics. Our secret? We make electronics thermal dissipation part of the solution, not something to fight against. This approach helps our OEM and integrator partners reach the high mechanical reliability and thermal performance required by their systems. While simulation, prototyping, and testing are part of our activities at the heart of Europe, this is also supported by: - the development of industrial machinery and tools, - worldwide industrial partnerships to enable Two-Phase cooling production at industrial-scale . We combine our two-phase cooling know-how with our partners’ application expertise. And that’s how we foster innovation to better address the semiconductor and automotive industry’s thermal challenges. Learn more here : https://lnkd.in/eWY8fhWe info@calyos-tm.com
