The Yellowhead Pipeline received final approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission and construction will begin immediately. This transformative project will strengthen Alberta’s natural gas infrastructure, support economic growth and help meet increasing demand for reliable energy across the province. Once in service, the pipeline will deliver over 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas to the system per day. That’s the same amount of energy delivered by Alberta’s entire electricity system on a peak day. A $2.9 billion investment, the Yellowhead Pipeline is a defining project for our company and a clear commitment to strengthening Alberta’s economy and energy infrastructure: ➡️ 2,000 direct jobs created during construction ➡️ Catalyzing significant downstream economic development, supporting an estimated 12,000 additional construction jobs and 20,000 permanent jobs annually once associated downstream investments are operational ➡️ An estimated $3.9 billion contribution to Alberta’s GDP each year once operational Thank you to the employees, contractors, Indigenous partners, communities and stakeholders whose dedication and collaboration will bring this project to life. This weekend, we were proud to host the 19th annual ATCO Military Family Day at Spruce Meadows’ ‘North American’ tournament presented by Rolex. Together we celebrated the ‘Heroes Behind the Heroes’ welcoming 55 members of the Armed Forces and their families, representing Land, Air, and Sea divisions, along with two Invictus Games alumni and their loved ones. The day was a meaningful opportunity to reflect, honour and recognize the brave individuals who serve our country, and the families who stand beside them. Read more: atco.link/military

With support from ATCO’s Employees Participating in Communities (EPIC) program, Manish Hassija, Senior Engineer, ATCO Australia, shows how meaningful impact can start small. Inspired by the difference each action can make, he champions individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis through volunteering, fundraising initiatives and community events. Here’s to 20 years of ATCO EPIC, and the people like Manish who turn compassion into action. https://atco.link/epic

At our Canadian Utilities Safety Summit, leaders from across the organization came together to strengthen a shared commitment to our Safety Absolutes and build a more visible, unified culture. From opening remarks by Bob Myles and Mark Brown reinforcing leadership accountability, to a keynote from former Formula 1 executive Mark Gallagher on high-performance safety, the day challenged us to think differently about what it means to lead safely. Through workshops, a case study from Nidal Naaman, Bird Construction, on embedding safety into operations, and a cross-functional panel on making safety leadership visible, one message was clear: safety is a shared responsibility. Jason Sharpe closed with reflections and clear expectations for what comes next. The work continues, and our workforce’s commitment is strong.
