    What makes a method transfer successful? According to many of the discussions at 𝐉𝐏𝐀𝐆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, it's often the knowledge behind the method—not just the method itself. Colleagues from both our Cramlington and Hoddesdon sites attended the conference, where Anna Zhalnina, Alice H., Neve Bentley and Natalie Hunter-Dost presented scientific posters and shared expertise in analytical method validation and transfer. A key takeaway was the importance of 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫.     Understanding how tumors escape therapy is critical to developing better treatments. In this in vivo CRISPR screen, over 3,100 sgRNAs targeting tumor suppressor genes were introduced into lung cancer A549 cells. These modified cells were engrafted into mice and treated with the MEK inhibitor Trametinib. By analyzing tumor tissues post-treatment, researchers identified gene disruptions that conferred resistance—revealing new survival pathways.
