Its main interest lies in the effort to make humankind aware of their essential unity, dignity and equality. Everyone has the right to investigate truth for oneself and share it with others so they may work out a peaceful world order, which is the main aim of the bahá'í faith. One of the tools leading to this aim is the process of consultation. The significance of the bahá'í consultation is demonstrated in bahá'í writings. The nature of the bahá'í consultation could be defined as a process leading to decision making and problem solving. Though some scholars might claim that the bahá'í consultation cannot be used appropriately outside the context of the faith, I argue that certain aspects of the bahá'í consultation have the capacity to contribute to the reordering of the current social, economic and political system. I will show that bahá'í consultation has an individual and collective significance. I will also show that the bahá'í consultation is not restricted to bahá'í assemblies only. I hope to conclude in that a consultation has a supportive and cultivating impact on people's behaviour within a democratic order worldwide. In order to achieve such a conclusion, I will demonstrate the procedure of the consultative process bahá'í exercise in their assemblies and on a daily basis.
