Billing
Billing sits at the bottom of the left sidebar, next to Settings.
This page covers the console specifically. For the trial lifecycle, the pricing model, and how usage is measured, see Trial & Billing, Pricing, and Usage.
Your plan
The first card names your plan and carries a status badge:
| Status | Badge | What the card says |
|---|---|---|
| Trial | Active | Free Trial, with the days remaining and the 1 TB included |
| Paid | Active | Pay-as-you-go, billed for what you use, with your monthly minimum in brackets |
| Payment failed | Active | Pay-as-you-go. A banner at the top of the page carries the warning, not the badge |
| Grace period | Grace Period | Read-only access, with the days remaining |
| Canceled | Canceled | Subscription inactive |
| No plan | No plan | Choose a plan to start storing data |
When a payment fails, the notice appears in the amber banner at the top of the page rather than in the plan badge, which continues to read Active. Your account becomes read-only at that point, so if uploads have stopped, check the banner and update your payment method to resume. See Trial & Billing.
The button in this card is Upgrade on the trial, Manage plan on a paid plan, and Reactivate once the subscription has lapsed.
Current usage
Storage used always appears. On the trial it is shown against the 1 TB cap with a progress bar; on a paid plan there is no cap, so you see the figure alone.
Egress used is shown against the 2 TB cap during the trial only. Paid plans have no egress fees and no egress figure on this page.
Estimated monthly cost appears once you are on a paid plan.
The estimate applies $4.99/TB to your most recent storage reading, with your monthly minimum as the floor. Your invoice is calculated from your average storage across the month, metered twice a day, so treat the estimate as a guide to where you are heading rather than the final figure. Egress is not included, since it is free on paid plans.
Sizes here are decimal: 1 TB means 1,000 GB. See Usage.
Payment method
With a card on file this card shows the last four digits and the expiry, with an Update button. Without one it shows No payment method added and an Add button.
Update and Manage plan both open the Stripe customer portal, where the card details are entered and stored. Fil One does not hold your card number.
Adding a payment method for the first time goes through Choose your plan, where Pay-as-you-go is the self-service option and Business plan routes to a sales contact form for volume pricing and SLAs.
Cancellation is handled in the Stripe portal, reached through Manage plan.
Invoice history
The invoice list shows the date, status, amount, and a PDF link for each invoice.
Two things to expect:
- The card appears once you are on a paid plan, so there is nothing to show during the trial.
- It lists your three most recent paid invoices. For your full billing history, including anything still open or in draft, open the Stripe portal through Manage plan.
Pricing panel
The right-hand panel restates the plan: $4.99 per TB per month, your monthly minimum where you have one, no egress fees, and no API request fees. Need more? links to a sales contact form for the Business plan.
Accounts created before the minimum was introduced stay on per-unit pricing with no minimum, and the plan card and pricing panel reflect that for you. The upgrade dialog shows the standard $4.99/month wording, so take the plan card and pricing panel as the guide to your own terms. See Pricing.
