The Finnish software company is a well-established provider of patient flow management (PFM) solutions for public health and social care organisations. After acquiring Enovation in 2024 and Performation in 2025 Legrand Care is taking the next step in its growth strategy with the acquisition of Axel Health. This strategic investment strengthens the company’s position in the Nordics and supports its long-term vision of creating a sustainable and interconnected health and care system that makes innovative quality healthcare available to anyone at any time. 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 At Bernhoven, patients are encouraged to remain as much in control of their treatment journey as possible. To support this approach, the hospital recently took an important step by implementing 𝗘𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗫𝗗𝗦 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿 for the secure and efficient exchange of medical images. With the volume of diagnostic data continuing to grow, 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐡𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 was looking for a solution that was dependable, user-friendly and straightforward to deploy. The project came with an additional challenge: the hospital was also introducing a new EPR at the same time. Thanks to close collaboration between all parties involved and a flexible implementation approach, the XDS Viewer was successfully tested and rolled out in 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬. As healthcare systems face growing pressure, the focus is shifting from individual organisations to collaboration across the region. Yet regional care can only succeed when the right foundations are in place. During a session on regional collaboration at Zorg & ict, Fleur Maagdenberg en Glenn Bruins shared why a 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲, such as a care coordinator or telecoach, is becoming increasingly essential for regional care. By maintaining oversight of care pathways, communication and signals, these professionals operate within a connected ecosystem centred around the patient or client, rather than navigating across fragmented systems. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁? Dit doen we met de betrokken partijen binnen het 𝐃𝐔𝐎-initiatief. Voor (zorg)organisaties die o.b.v. onze 𝐗𝐃𝐒-oplossing de Landelijke Tijdlijn willen realiseren is nu een vergoeding beschikbaar. De voorwaarden voor (zorg)organisaties om aanspraak te maken op deze vergoeding zijn ook bekend. Samengevat dien je onderstaande acties te ondernemen:   - Selectie leverancier. - Deelname aan landelijke afspraken (het Twiin Afsprakensysteem). - Aansluiten op landelijke toestemmingsvoorziening Mitz. - Koppeling met de “DUO-Brug” (landelijk netwerk van beeldbeschikbaarheid). - Voorbereiden van gebruik in de praktijk. De kracht van onze XDS-oplossing, is dat niet alleen radiologische beelden conform DUO, maar ook andere typen gegevens, zoals labresultaten, documenten en verslagen landelijk beschikbaar zijn. Ook is het een bewezen oplossing voor het beschikbaar stellen en uitwisselen van informatie o.b.v. internationale IHE-standaarden.
